Are you sure about that? 2014/64(R231) SL65 - a veritable used car bargain at a mere £137,000 driving
Considering its £137k, they are some pretty st photos used to try and sell the car. hehe
Not really

They show all aspects of the car, are in focus and dont have awful effects on them

So far as advert photos go they are pretty good

They're certainly not pin sharp but I wouldn't say they were terribly blurry

I think the colour contributes to the "blurred" look. However, even speaking as a non-driver, I don't think artistic merit is a qualification when it comes to selling cars.

I think the implication was that the i8 is an ugly car, so perhaps the owner had bad eyesight and was in having his eyes tested... Not that I agree, I've seen quite a few on the roads now and I think it is a stunning car.
Yes, that was it - I wasn't playing on the I vs. "eye" thing. I was going to add "IMO" but as it's me that wrote the post, it's clearly "MO". I just think they look ugly, but up here in the sticks I've only seen one in the flesh and that was moving in the other direction. Maybe they'll grow on me.

Spent a few days in London, gutted I didn't see any hypercars. Did go for a few walks around Harrods/Knightsbridge area to try and spot one. Rarest thing I saw was the Ferrari 456 estate. Surprised at how common Rollers are in London though! I did see a Gallardo/Gallardo/Murcielago/WRX STI convoy going around which was pretty cool.
A 456 Estate? Was that a limited run model or something?

Built for the sultan of Brunei, or his brother, can't remember which.

Correct, it was definitely a '65. And in a slightly tasteful colour scheme than the one in that advert laugh

Not as rare (or 'super') as some on here - but nice to see this doing the morning school run in the snow....

Certainly looked (and sounded) real as opposed to 'badged' - but sure someone will correct me if not;

Real, they do have a lovely sound. Easiest way to spot a fake one!

Yup, I've seen a handful over the years. I ran a reg check on the one above, too much time on my hands.

Looks like Jaguar Landrover are out cold and altitude testing in colorado at the moment, spotted this in the hotel carpark up in the ski resorts, 6 cars and an suv all under cover tonight. Thought they were just American cars at first until I spotted the UK tax disks in the window, however the ones i could see were LHD.

What is it with the funky wrap, It makes them stand out more than if they were plainly painted, Or is that the plan?

I think it is to disguise the details of the design.

Also did no one tell jaguar they don't need to display tax any more?

It's designed to hide certain lines and features on photographs I believe

oh come on. Maybe it was in the 80s before autocar started publishing photos of them on track with a long lens through the bushes. Manufacturer staff and test drivers would generally chase the photographers angrily. Then gradually they're being spotted on the road in garish livery or partially disguised... till the present (social media intensive) day when they're everywhere, just being driven around, or left parked up, no-one around. Within hours twitter, forum light up and the pics get passed around, go viral. In the old days they used to leak photos to the press, now they don't have to.

hide the design features my arse, take the blue pill FFS! smile

DPM - it was used on battleships in WW2, breaks up the lines. We see lots of JLR cars around here wrapped in that stuff
