Is carrera not just an entirely redundant word? Are all 911 not carrera?
They still use it. They only call the normal models carrera. They dont use it on GT3 and Turbo models.

I see more California's than i8's.

I have only ever seen two i8's. One at ASI15, and the other on the M62.

I'd say it's easily both.
Can't be many more supercars that stand out as much as an i8.
More interesting than 458s, Bentley GTs and such, which are on here regularly. smile
To each their own I say - if you don't like it, scroll past and move on. wink

Sadly, it's a lot more rare to see ad i8 on the road than it is to read another predicable, tedious post on here about what is or isn't a supercar and/or rare.

Go to London and you'll be tripping over Ferraris, Porsches, Lamborghinis and Bugattis. That doesn't mean that they're not rare in the grand scheme of things. This thread is about rare and/or exotic metal.

I would suggest that an i8 ticks both of those boxes. Let's be honest, there aren't really any cars currently for sale in the UK over £100k that most people wouldn't consider rare.

Hadn't thought of it like that, was only speaking from my point of view

Anyway back to the cars

Didn't get a picture as I was driving, but I passed a silver AMG SLS convertible on the M56 a couple of days ago.

I saw my first i8 on the M5 a couple of days ago.

It looked awesome in white.
