Is a TVR Tuscan rare or a supercar?

I don't know enough about TVR but if it is either of the above then I spotted a TVR Tuscan in Pannal at lunch time, looked great
Its not a Tuscan, its a Typhon - only 3 made
The car I saw at lunch that said Tuscan on the back wasn't a Tuscan?
The one in the photo being discussed as rare definitely says Typhon on the back, don't know you saw.

Tuscan is a good spot, how often do you see them out and about? A Typhon on the other hand, (as shown) is very rare. Owned by a member on here and (the car)is stunning...

What in the world does that have to do with the blue Tuscan I saw in Pannal earlier? You must've started early tongue out

Excluding an old green TVR I saw the other week I think this is the only other TVR I've ever seen on the roads, sounded superb

I thought your original comment was being sarcastic about the Typhon posting. Re-read and your reaction would suggest otherwise and no I haven't been on the sauce !

In a more literal response to your first post, there are probably around two to three thousand TVR's in total left in the UK. Some models rarer than others, Typhon being the top of the tree. Tuscan Mk1 like mine down to triple figures, run out Mk 3 only a couple of hundred made. With write-off's and garage queens, getting to be a rarer sight but we do get a few groups out to tear it up most weekends.

Is a TVR a supercar, now that's another question....

Hi there,

Spent some time in traffic tonight on the M6 heading south behind a very nice BMW Alpina D4 Bi Turbo.

Really having a thing for Alpina's at the moment, quite fancy a used D3.

Regards

Tim

Wow, I really thought there would be less than that, really shows how little I know

I remember seeing an orange Sagaris at the Birmingham Motorshow and instantly loving it, I think if I were to ever get a TVR that'd be the one but in cascade violet

I didn't realise these were that rare, this was in the paddock at the Donington Historic Festival a couple of weeks ago, I put it in the good plates thread.

I think its the orange calipers which make it look Halfords, more than the actual alloys TBH

I love the look of the Alpina's, but those badges look awful. Surely a Simple Alpina one side and D4 the other would be fine. Properly spaced apart too, not hugging the centre

colour makes it look a bit cheap too. Silver that bright does no car any favours!

Definately the alloys, they are awful.

Agreed. I'm not a fan of thinner-spoked, 5-spoke alloy wheels. There is a set that are quite common on 458s that look really wrong too. Particulary when the wheels are so large and there are whacking great discs and calipers behind them.

Agreed, I really don't like overly-mininal wheel designs.

Not sure if these are particularly rare? I've not seen one before.
