Another car i wish I'd never sold... I had one in the same colour with a hard top of which i'v never seen another..
Off topic slightly, but spotted you on Wednesday around Yeadon area in the 640D, I take it you are local then? Look forward to spotting the i8 sometime if so.CRA1G said:

In the spirit of the thread, I went to look at the Rolls and realised the Phaeton is a very rare 6.0 W12 version. Never seen one before!
A subtle Capri on a Peckham back street.
A gorgeous 280SL Auto casually parked in South Kensington.
A very bold hue on this Russian motor behind Harrods. Not sure what it is though!
More typical London fare, but the first I've seen up close. Such a good looking car IMO.
Stunning Merc 280SE near Harrods. The photo does it no justice at all.
Another beauty, parked near a Ferrari FF in a similar colour. Distant relatives perhaps?
Lovely colour on this F12.
Very elegant old Bentley, again with a terrible photo!
This stood out from a mile off. I was very surprised to see it has Alberta, Canada plates.
Hopefully something for everyone here

That is a GAZ Volga...also known as the 'Zhukovka'. Story has it that the lead designer studied very carefully the latest Chevrolet and Ford, and there's probably less similarity between a Buran and the Space Shuttle in comparison.
A key difference between the Soviet car industry and the American one though - at the time - was that planned obsolescence was only something that happened in the West. If you had a Volga (lucky, privileged enough, that is, at it tended to be something that was bestowed upon those who weren't doing their 7am-7pm in the local factory), then you could be rest assured that there was unlikely to be the 'facelift' model appearing within three years. Lack of industrial competition meant that styling remained fairly static: a lovely argument for the free market if you're an automotive aesthete!
Gagarin was a big fan apparently and drove one. Well regardless of the fact that he probably wouldn't be allowed to lay his hands on the equivalent Chevy Bel-Air or Zephyr, he was still very much besotted with his, and for years afterwards his own car was kept - like Lenin, but probably not embalmed - in its own little mausoleum...
Spending alot of time lately in and around West London and seen some lovely machines, the favorites from the norm have been what appeared to be a 250GTO and a 60s Shelby Cobra coupe within 2 minutes of 1 another on the Kings road. Stunning.
A yellow Pagani Huayra in Knightsbridge and a couple of 918's and a stunning F40, although that is a cheat as it is in the showroom by Hyde Park corner. If i get a chance i will have a walk up and get a proper look at the F40 before it goes.
Also cheats as in a dealers but worth some window licking if you're passing Egham, an Enzo, a La Ferrari and a MC12.
