Beirut? Do me a favour. Hezbollah wouldn't leave the building standing.£400k spent in 2008 on enough space to park your Hummer and a couple of Maybachs would be worth about £1.1m now. Mayfair prices have easily outperformed Gold since Bear Stearns.
Saying that, The "Paris of the East" is a beguiling place, and the odd suicide blast aside, you need to be pretty liquid to live and play in places like Rue Verdun and Foch-Allenby. Prices there make Wilmslow and Sandbanks look a bit arriviste...
I went to Piazza Italia with my 928 GTS yesterday.
A fantastic day out with a great selection of cars;
Here's mine alongside a lovely FF and V8V along with a DB9 and Diablo;
Looking the other way at a Mclaren, F Type, Cobra, R8, Aston, RR, 8C (tiny behind the Rolls!
The Zonda was reserved a special spot inside...
Queuing for the A24 run (note the Aston (lovely sound) Zonda, Mclaren, F-Type, Aventador, Koenigsegg etc in front), with a police escort. Of course we observed all speed limits.
Driving into Horsham itself - lovely sounding Detomaso Pantera in front made the kids cry!
Thanks to Phil at Washington Coachworks - a fabulous day out.

Like Grace Jones sang, "...pull up to the bumper baby". Get close man, zoom in or something!
One of my best friends had one of the last Evo IIs made. Wonderful car in perfect condition, but you can't run it on chump change. I remember the Momo wheel being a tad odd. Canted back, you felt like you were piloting a DAF even if the feedback was pure Sega Rally. There weren't too many places in Madrid to reliably service such a beast, and picking it up once was a quasi-religious experience: the bill was an eye-popper and afterwards you'd pray hard that bits won't fall off or go wrong again.

Any idea how much of that was speculation on development rights - upwards and/or downwards?
Sure, aware of a market in Japanese export/imports, however, how can you confirm that from the mere picture of lustrous kit and that glove-fit spoiler? I'm not sure I can even see if it's LHD or RHD.
After all, 24 E36AMGs came to the UK in the mid-nineties, so what is there to say it's not one of those.
Here's hoping it is a Hammer or an E36, whatever the provenance, just not a kitted out 320 coupe, as much as I like W124s!
Any qualitative MI?
