Talking of Leeds, I see Kahn's other Veyron is now swapped for the red/grey one - the AK 7 plated one is in the showroom on Kirkstall Road.

Not that rare, and not spotted by me...

However the fact that the OH is taking spotted pics to send me makes me extremely happy. The fact that she's taken a half decent pic is a bonus biggrin

Hi there,

Although certainly not a supercar, it's sure to be a rarity.

A new Ford Vignale (high end Mondeo) parked up this afternoon in Uttoxeter. The car had Bristol Street Motors on the bottom of the number plates and judging by the reg I imagine it's one of their demo's

Apparently the Vignale trim is very different from anything Ford have done before in terms of the ownership experience.

Hi there,

Also this last night in town. Its and Audi S1 Quattro but with loads of ABT bits on. Not sure about the vents in the front wings though hurl

They start at £25k! That's mad money, doubt it's worth £10k more than a Fiesta ST

new one on me. I don't know much about the new mondeo other than there is one, so not sure how to compare it, but it looks nice enough. Suspect it's just some extra trimmings though, and probably similar quality parts to standard car?

Just looks like a Mondeo to me.

What is the special element? Aside from a nicer interior?

the leather is the same as you get in Bentley apparently.

Is it Bentley that have their own herd somewhere in the Swiss mountains? The altitude reduces the incidents of insect bites puncturing the perfection of the hides.

The leather originates from cows from Northern Europe (mainly Scandinavia), partly due do fewer insects and partly due to barbed wire not being used.

Bentley said:
3000 bull hides are used every week in Bentley's Leather Workshop. Hides are sourced from Northern Europe, where the temperate climate and lack of barbed wire fencing means the hides are mostly free from the imperfections caused by scratches and biting insects. Nonetheless, each hide is checked and marked by hand and eye before being precision cut. Of the 400 hours it takes to build a Mulsanne, around 150 are dedicated to creating the sumptuous leather interior - before additional options are considered. Stitched, shaped and finished entirely by hand, the completed seats, doors and other leather accoutrements rival the quality of the finest furniture - the contrast stitching alone takes anywhere between 20 and 40 hours to complete. A Bentley craftsperson would be able to correctly identify whether the cross stitching inside a Bentley is their work by the stitching alone - to check you could find their initials etched onto the inside of the upholstery - a mark of accountability and pride that is consistent throughout the build process.
Allegedly, they only use bulls as they don't have stretch marks...
