Quite a sight in the normal humdrum commuter flow.

It is indeed. Gave a wave as he left the hotel today. The time saved (especially in LA) with roads being shutdown for the convoy is balanced by the time it takes the convoy to get ready. Monumental display of coordination and manpower to move a man from one place to the other.



Obama checked the "Sniper in the back of a SUV" option too.

I once saw a Phantom hearse in Alderley Edge. Massive. Also saw 'The Beast' in London (Park Lane) when Obama was there a few years ago. It was also gigantic, as the name suggests.
