Bentayga, Maldon.

In all the pictures I've seen this has looked rather gopping and unnecessary - thought it would look like a blingy Cayenne. In the flesh though, it is quite imposing and just looks hewn from granite and, as was undoubtedly the brief, incredibly expensive.

Colour helps of course. I doubt it would be where my £250k+ would go, but with an unlimited lottery win there'd be a space for one on the ranch.

I really, really hope that this isn't the one I should have bought but did not from Simon Furlonger in Kent, for £50k, three years ago.

Still feel slightly sick at the missed opportunity. If this one's a manual, looks to be identical spec down to the tan carbon buckets and Stradale wheels.

I feel nauseous.

I like everything about that car except for the rear lights. They could have done so much more with them with all the new designs thats LED can be used for but they chose to make horrible rounded off square lights that are just a bit dull in real life.

I totally agree the rear doesn't work. I am not a fan of the chicken wire all over the front, a bit would be fine, but it doesn't need to extend the full width of the car.

Overall though, it does a good job as an imposing, expensive looking SUV.

No worries, mine was the same until recently. You can still post pics from private and they'll be visible on here.

depends on your priorities. RR would be fast, probably quote rigid ride-wise, but built like st and unreliable (I'm not a fan of JLR products). The Bentayga would be less pacy and probably a lot softer (I'd hope anyway) but ultimately premium and well put together. A rolex and a timex both tell the time, etc.

Or the SVAutobiography or the SVO Holland & Holland. Based on looks and prices alone I'd take any of the three over the Bentley. In reality I can't afford any of them.

DB11 in Cheltenham yesterday.

LHD. Amazing light blue paint with silver sparkly effects in the paintwork. Partially covered in camouflage.

Looked amazing. Sounded awesome.

Driver asked if I would refrain from posting photos on Facebook. Didn't mention PH.......

I wonder why? Although not on sale yet, the car is out in the public domain and has been for a while. It's done dealership tours and is even on show in the AM foyer at Gaydon.

If it had a blue interior it's probably the pre-production mule all the journos have been driving lately.

Interesting he asked you not to post pictures...

No, then, according to that journo:

"The Range Rover is a better car at a far more reasonable price"
