I know its a car and should be used, but if I were Andy, I would probably never take a £13m car out on the road. Even trusting my own abilities, there are so many idiots about. It would be beyond terrifying for every second of the journey! weeping

Although if I had one, I would be a tad richer than I am now so perhaps I wouldnt care as much hehe
I'd estimate it depreciates £1,000 for every 2-4 miles you drive it too! but the guy is a true petrolhead
I dont know, wouldnt a car that rare with that heritage not matter how many miles was on it? It's not like you can hunt around for a lower miles version of the same car

unless of course you put like 50k on it driving it around.

I'm surprised the LC is noted as black.

They are all Imperial green.

It looks original and original tailpipes as well.
It was definitely more green than black in the flesh.
It's not unusual for DVLA to do that. My BMW is registered as black, but it's actually blue. Although I do have to point that out to people before they realise it's not black.
Certainly odd though, the V5's i've seen, including my own say Green as the colour.

Well, this is a matt wrapped Lambo LP whatsit on the North Circular at Edmonton Saturday evening. Unfortunately the operator hasn't worked out how to switch his bright-as-the-sun, migraine inducing laser driven fog lamps off shoot

I highly doubt that figure can be correct.

Anyway, valued at £13m now, that's still a hell of a lot of miles hehe

Buy car for £1m - appreciates to £13m, but depreciates down to £12m if you use it and put loads of miles on it.

To not use a car based on that fact seems madness.

That's what I mean though. Surely putting 2000 miles on it wouldn't take £1m off the price?!

2,000 x 2 or 4 isn't 1,000,000 though!

He said £1000 for every 2-4 miles. I took it at 2 for this example.

£1000 per 2miles is £500 per mile.

So 2000 miles is £1m which sounds ludicrous.

"What's under there?"
"Four litre Rover."
"G33?"
"Most people don't know it's a Ginetta, let alone which one."
"I don't imagine you post pictures of your own car, I'll post it on Supercars Spotted later."
"I'll look out for it."

So much said. So few words.
Oh Dicky, you know how to make a McAndy feel better about life on a Friday, don't you. Lovely. These have been on my shortlist e'er since I wer'a lad!

One of the first fast cars I went out in was a G33, still remember the sump bottoming out at 'enthusiastic' speed on a b road hehe
Happenned all the time. I had a sump guard made for mine.
How many did they build do you know?

ETA: spookily there is one for sale just 5 mins up the road from me!

I think it was 98. I had number 96 iirc.

There is someone on here looking for one.
Sorry for the late spot: My understanding is there were 98 + 2 kits (one another RV8 and one Cosworth Turbo). I too have a significant sump guard! I wish I'd made it out of titanium now: Would look great bottoming out on compression turns!
Mine's no' 98 though it's history is a little odd, it was only a rolling chassis when the factory went in to receivership and a Ginetta Engineer finished it off on the QT

That's interesting as your car has the earlier indicators. Mine had the slim Lotus ones, which must have meant a different bonnet mould.

Blame Dicky's photography! Mine has the Elan sidelights and the very late (last 2 I think) key opening boot and separate hood frame.
