Kit car with South African origins. Not a Bugatti. Saw one in Dunton once and it wasn't bad - just not what it purports to be.

I was out in said car that day. It was a Noble Owner's day at North Weald and the owner 'Fortunate Phil', is also a Noble lad so he brought the big Ford along. He's always said that Clarkson was an idiot (well, said presenter doesn't really know much about cars but is nonetheless highly entertaining - IMHO). Apparently, Clarko's main issue was with the alarm and immobiliser. Phil had this all fixed quickly and easily when he took the car over and has owned it in faultless operation ever since.

PS: Why 'Fortunate Phil' you may ask? Well, the blighter's gone and ordered (and has been accepted for) the New Ford GT - and he aint selling this one neither! bounce
It did seem that his main gripe was the dodgy electrics - presumably he was lazy enough to just hand it back to Ford every time as well, rather than getting a specialist to sort it.

He seems like the type of bloke who, once he takes a disliking to something, he'll exaggerate its faults until he can get rid of it.

He was busy waxing lyrical about how great it was when they did the TG piece with the 3 supercars going to France...

I dunno about that, but - on top of his Radio 2 salary - Evans was paid £500,000 a year for presenting the One Show just on Fridays. At that time Alex Jones was paid £100,000 for presenting it five times a week. I'm not a fan but you can't blame him for grabbing that type of money if the BBC is foolish enough to throw it at him.

No picture unfortunately but saw a lovely Ferrari 365 in Morrisons car park today. What mentalist would take their classic Ferrari into a supermarket destruction derby/car park. I would stay well away!
365Daytonafan drives his a lot and I wouldn't be surprised if it was him.

He's on instagram and shares plenty of photos of it.

The issue was that the Ford GTs needed re-fitting for European spec immobilisers when they got over here. It was done by Roush (Mountune). Someone had made a cock-up of it, but Clarkson completely over-sold the issue he had. It was fixed either the first or second time it was in.

Source? I work with one of the guys who did it....

Except the BBC probably have very little say in who gets paid what as they don't produce it.
