From now on, a cobbled driveway is my new climbing-plant-on-house yardstick. 10/10.
Ask, and it shall be given!

^^^ Nice collection. You need a 124 as well, to really set them off!
No W124 at present, but I have a W201 and an S211. Awaiting new life, and probably ready for the next life, respectively.

I have now put 25k miles on my facelift E280 bought from w124.co.uk and spent about £2.5k on putting things right, and it needs a new cat and the ball joints doing at this service. Plus there's also a squeaky belt somewhere.
Have you seen the arms from underneath? Do you have 4pot brakes on the front wheels?

wavey Sorry I'm late! hehe
XJS looks spaffin' lovely SpeckledJim! Carnival Red if I'm not mistaken, which has to be one of the ultimate colours for the car.

Thank you kindly. smile It's actually Flamenco Red, but how it differs from Carnival Red, which was my first guess too, is beyond me.

(it may even be the same colour under a new name, I don't know)

What a great colour.

I really regret not going to see the one that was for sale locally before I bought the one I did but. It was only £1400 or so - and it was probably a bit of a shed at that price - but it was gold, with brown velour and a big 1980s phone fitted. Bargetastic.

Would have been a laugh to smoke about in for a while (not that I actually do any 'smoking about') - until the day comes when I'm about to get into it and step back, look at it, and say - WTF am I doing?

EFA wink
Well some other people who don't have as much cash might find that an expensive fix!
You could argue that about any price though. I think it's reasonable that if you're attempting to run a barge, then having £250 set aside shouldn't be too much of a budget stretch.

Me too. Tobacco/Chocolate leather is lamentably rare. It always looks great, and goes with a wide range of exterior colours too.

I particularly like it with a lighter veneer such as Ash or Elm, for a really luxurious ambience.

Bit of a curio as a manual. The wheels will make a purist's head explode, but there could be a decent car here:

I am going to enquire about that SEC upon my return. I know it's 600cc short of my desired model, but I'm starting to wonder if that really matters, as even a 560 isn't THAT fast. I could probably out drag one in my ML, but that's not really what an SEC is about, which is wafting around in timeless, pillarless style. cool

No, and don't know. I have a very distinctive creak on low speed turns which I understand is a classic symptom.
