I still like the look of these. Nice wheels and the 4.2 in a great colour with a reasonable 98k miles (though there's still the gearbox to worry about). Not too bad for £1,750, it would be nice to knock it down to £1,500 though. http://www.autotrader.co.uk/classified/advert/2014...
were the gearbox to KABOOM tomorrow. that'd break for more than that. Y2Blade did exactly that... drove it until it broke and then sold it off for a profit IIRC.Lovely Lovely cars, was looking at them before I took the plunge with this CLK

Aside from the knock on the quarter panel (and that wheel), this looks pretty good, no?

Please can someone purchase or at least take a look and tell us how bad it is?!

Works out at just shy of £21k for the estate version. That's got to be worth every penny of that all day long. A full sized 4x4 of that pedigree! If only I had the cash.
If you bought that and held onto it, instant collectable.

Pulled up on the drive about 20 minutes ago. Superb, what a car, what a drive. Feels great to be back in a quality product.
This just looks fantastic, as far as luxury barges go, they don't come much better than this.Edited by Baryonyx on Saturday 30th August 18:24

It's a bit of a wrench parting with it to be honest, but I'm not allowed to acquire any more toys until I sell some of the ones I've got! It was a lifelong ambition of mine to own one, so at least I've managed to tick the box and for that, I will always consider myself lucky. No doubt one day, I'll look back in horror at what I sold it for, but I could say that about a lot of things. There's a bit of a thread on it from me and from the previous owner in Readers Rides. Hope I'm not breaking any rules linking it here:

Now that is clean as a whistle (I've a thing for wedged Rovers having had a 214SEi and loved the old girl and rather like that, if I had the space...), must've been a bit of a garage queen as my Granddad had a 216SLi and even having been garaged for his entire ownership (which was going on for the thick end of twenty years) it rusted like hell.TWR XJ V12 is horrid but cool.
