Yes it has xenons, seem pretty good too. I gave the lenses a bit of a "scrub" at the weekend and they came up pretty well.

Very good results are possible on yellowed and cracked W210 headlamps with a variety of orbital wet and dry papers, T-Cut, compound, toothpaste, etc.

Be careful to keep the surface wet.

Lots of driving tomorrow, have to drive somewhere around 470 miles.

The car has been fine but haven't pushed it so no return of that fault....

The W210 headlights must be some of the worst around for yellowing. Some of them look like a bloody smoker's teeth.

Stunning car and stunning value. A proper barge!
Amaze +1. Lovely.

Someone on this thread needs to get that bought.
Link doesn't work for me - it gone already?

It was the W124 day today at the Haynes museum, good barge day out! There was one of the 7 RHD AMG S124s up for sale for I think 3.5k.
Gone subject to all going through in the morning. Nobody from the thread.
I have to say at that price someone has purchased a complete bargain!!
Now if you feel you have to sell the A8, preferably around end of October, then we will need to talk! smile

An FFRR? Really not what I would have expected you to get next.
I would have thought you may have gone for a Monaro VXR500 which I consider be even better sounding than a TVR (and with rather more civilised handling)...

If you can do the deal now then he'd probably sort you out with that A8...

Wish I could, but just agreed an extension to the contract I am doing so bonus on completion does not kick in until end of Oct frown
It was more a hopeful suggestion than an expectation.
It is still the most genuine A8 I have come across, and I doubt you will find many better owners (Derin excepted wink).

The FFRR is really to replace the ML 500, which hasn't actually gone yet, so that was perhaps a bit misleading. Basically, the plan is to slim down from four cars to two, as they are not getting used enough, but I might end up keeping the TVR as I can't find the service history for it at the moment due to my recent house move! I'm not buying another Australian car. Both of the ones I've had have raped my wallet worse than any other car I've owned. I've probably been unlucky, but I can only speak from my own experience and if it happened again, I'd be kicking myself to death. My TVR sounds just as good as any Monaro I've heard too. smile

It's a bit ITV though, isn't it.

Have you seen Slippery's garden?

This is clearly not a chap who wears shiny 3/4 length trousers.
He thinks Lonsdale is probably a terrier of some sort.
He doesn't know what a McFlurry is.

Why, when you have as much garage space as you evidently do, would you wish to downsize your collection?
On the other hand though, you could offer secure storage space to other Ph'ers.
Only for acceptable cars though, and the keys would have to be left with you wink

And fair point on the TVR, they don't make a bad sound at all smile

Not the best engine, or even the most desirable era of C Class, but this could be a nice little thing;

I have five garages, but the lawn tractor is in one of them. Two of them are still full of stuff from the house move and the truth of the matter is, I just don't get the time to drive the special cars as much as I should and in the long run, that just doesn't do them any good. A couple of great cars that we use every day and perhaps, if I keep it well hidden from Mrs S, the TVR. smile

I had a crack with some compound, the yellow has gone but its still crazed. I need to go at it properly really, only had a spare 15 mins or so at work. I have one of the 3M plastic restoration kits.
