That is a very cool thing.http://www.carandclassic.co.uk/car/C495901
I need a DS. It's my new wife's favourite car and just lovely. I also think they'll be worth a fair bit one day too.

Love that. My wife would serve my balls to the cats if I bought it though.http://www.carandclassic.co.uk/car/C495901

How on Earth is WRA 9Y worth £5k? I suppose a chap named Ray might fancy it, but 5K? Really?r129sl said:
Passed one of these on the M1 tonight; it was about an inch off the road, bouncing up and down like a good un. Driver looked sick as a chip. Presumably the suspension Bork we're all warned of.
Sounds like they had it in service mode! The Citroen suspension system is hardly new and, really, has less to fix on it than most conventional systems. The bork prone thing on that is the 2.7 engine which is bork prone whether it is in a Citroen, Pug, Jag or Land Rover.

Looks tidy to me. Rust the big issue and those wheels don't look originalhttp://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/MERCEDES-E320-EXCELLENT-...
Got the '55 back this morning. £1894 lighter. It feels.....
.....Largely the same.
List of work and parts goes onto 2 pages.... Nice addition to the history file (I do like a nice A4 folder of history).
Thumbs up to the dealer. Tim Purslow. Thoroughly nice chap, lots of kit and a lovely clean workshop. Honestly showed me round everything they found, gave me their courtesy car (14 plate C220) for 3 days as it was easier for me to drop back today. Gave me a heap of discount on parts and didn't charge me for some of the minor things. Will certainly be using again - added bonus being that with the family history it's practically a main dealer.
Next thing on the 'to do' is waxoyl the underside prior to this winter.

In the nicest way possible, you're mental!Still must feel good to get a full refresh done and now be driving knowing that its in good health.
To be fair though, what else can you do? I could probably have saved a vast amount doing it myself but it all needed doing so I was faced with bin the car off after just 3 weeks knowing it needed a load of work and loose money that way or bite the bullet and keep it.

Well done on spending that on the '55, big chunk of cash that is!
Don't use waxoyl, use Bilt Hamber stuff.
The car stands me at £5700. When you put it like that, what else would I rather have? I still can't afford an E46 M3 or an E39 M5. Both of which can easily throw 4 figure bills.Don't use waxoyl, use Bilt Hamber stuff.
