1985 Bmw Alpina B10 E23 735i Manual, Full M.O.T,Very rare investment / project

I like the idea of this, needs an extraordinary amount of derusting by the sounds of it though. Don't go any further than the first few pictures and it looks fine.

On the Alpina theme, a mini barge for just over £3k

If you think the pics look bad, you won't believe the wording on the advert.

Let's finish off with an old friend, a rather nice looking E39 530iAT

http://www.autotrader.co.uk/classified/advert/2014...

Some tidy motoring for the coin.
Wouldn't touch an E39 Touring at that mileage with a barge pole - especially at that price. Though I am somewhat partial to E39s in that grey. I think it's dolphin grey.

Bonnet on that one doesn't line up passenger side (probably just knackered, ungreased latches and looks like someone's ground out the underside of the nearside front bumper.

There's potentially £2-3K+ of bills in the next 25K of motoring in that E39. Would be like driving a ticking time bomb. You might make it to 150K without spending a penny - equally you could get to 120K and find you need a complete brake overhaul, recondition the gearbox (£2K), refresh of the complete cooling system.

Wow, that's er, unusual.

I do kind of want to see the reaction if I left this in the work car park though:

Does anyone know of a dealer called Deans Of Sutton Coldfield? They look fairly low-rent, but have what could be a nice XJS, which I could be very interested in.

That ad's written in the foreign language known as 'idiot' is it not?

Don't know anything about the dealer but I'm sold on '6.0 V12' love that facelift shape of the xjs too.

According to the advert, the rust is 'arguably just on the surface'. I'd rather beg to differ, that looks pretty bloody bad!

That looks fantastic. Go for it.

I've always loved those cars, and will certainly have one, although as it's taken until now to be (just about) forgiven for my recent Merc SL purchase, I may have to hang on for a bit before buying one!

How is the SL CDG? I was following a 500 earlier today and thought of this thread - they really do look nice!

I leave this one to someone else - I am already too far down the line restoring mine and it would mean doubling all the bills to do the same again. Interestingly my air conditioning seems to work reasonably well.

How about this... £1,495 http://www.autotrader.co.uk/classified/advert/2014...

Might be a nice car to smoke about in, take the team to lunch in and so on?

"S Class 320 Limosine, 7 Months MOT, 6 Months Tax, Full Service history, Full Grey Leather Electric Seats, Climate Control with Air Conditioning, Cruise control, CD Player With CD Changer, Full Electric Triple Glazed Windows, Electric Sunroof, Electric Rear Blind, First aid kit, 2 Keys, Remote Central locking, New Tyres. Very Good condition inside and out RUST FREE and drives like a dream., BLACK, £1,495"

Actually I rather prefer the colour combo on this one (also £1,500) http://www.autotrader.co.uk/classified/advert/2014...

Are there any major issues with these?
