Is it a barge though? Sure its a 3.0v6 in a medium sized car, but it's a humdrum Ford with a manual gearbox.
Good all round car, but not a barge.
Probably ex Ford UK with that registration.

Nice exterior colour and contrasting interior colours do elevate it above most Mondeo's
IMO.

The brown on brown W126 above is perfection on wheels.

Actually I rather prefer the colour combo on this one (also £1,500) http://www.autotrader.co.uk/classified/advert/2014...

Are there any major issues with these?
Unbelievable luck. This one is 3 miles from my house, and the aforementioned brown one in the same town as where I work.

But does this one look like it's had a new passenger side door?

It's about the same size as an E39.

I had a drive in this on Friday:

My friend has just bought it for £1,500, 84,000 miles. The quality of the interior is amazing. It puts contemporary Mercs to shame. It was unworn. Very spacious, smooth and silent drive-line, slightly brittle ride I thought. I can see how people are converted to Lexus. Heated rear seats, as well.

Meanwhile I have been given a firm "no" on any other cars. Do I just ignore it? Sorry, I forgot, this isn't the Relate forum.

My uncle had a dark green one back in the day. Lovely interior and was great for a few trips we did to London in it.

My memory of driving it (apart from the silence) was the ridiculously light steering.

I want a silver or grey LS400 with black leather, and I want to pay £1500 or less.

Please.

Wrong colours. hehe

(As if you replied to my post above)

Also, there is clearly a price reduction in lieu of the unfortunate number plate.

The colours of the £795 one are much nicer to my eyes, and you can boast about achieving a sub £100/cylinder purchase price: always a bargain!

You're absolutely right. But, does it really matter at this price point if everything else is OK?

No, I don't think it does - and it only seems visible in the lower portion.

Mine was just like that. Got some stick for driving it but it was a lovely thing and no trouble at all.

Meanwhile, the BMW has decided it likes cutting out when put into drive on cold mornings. Just when I thought there was light at the end of the tunnel irked Its like chasing my tail now.

I've always had a bit of a weakness for the XJ40 and this one sounds like a corker with only 58,000 miles.
