Best of luck Ross for a full and speedy recovery. I have been lurking since volume 1 of this thread and your post puts things into perspective.

Ross, the very best of luck to you. That's crap news, but your positive attitude is an example to us all.

Hey Ross, I don't know you from a bar of soap but have enjoyed your posts on the E65. Hope that the next few months goes well for you and that this vid makes you smile.

We're Southampton, a club built on faith from the very beginning. We have our home, and our choir. We have our beliefs, our own way of doing things that guides everything we do. We don't just buy success, we breed it, we don't take shortcuts, we earn it. Every second of every minute of every day. We've been to the edge of the abyss, and come back stronger. Because whatever the pressure, however great the temptation, we never lose faith. We never settle, we never stop, we keep moving forwards. We are the Saints. It's not just a name, it's who we are. We will be in that number.

Good luck, Ross.

The big question is, what else can you get done while they've got you in pieces? You know, save on the labour and all that.
hehe

That's enough spending for the time being I think!!

Feels really nice now. The guy who drove it back, who owns the A6, said it's a bloody lovely car.

He's my aunts husband, so said that with bits like this I am welcome to get cheap servicing and labour etc when required biggrin

Why I'm tempted to get my servicing done there now, be so much cheaper. Easily saved a few hundred quid there I think.

Will be thinking of you Ross, and hoping for a full and speedy recovery, which I am sure you will have with your positive outlook.

In the meantime keep enjoying the E65.

Oh, and that Daimler Double Six is rather lovely, I do really want a V12 Jag saloon, probably a series 3 XJ though, a late one if possible, say 1990 with no rust. For a couple of grand. Oh, and the moon on a stick.

This sets my spidey senses tingling a bit - is it the bork? Any ideas?

As Hornetrider has said, it's a weird spec. It has Sport side skirts too. The ventilated comfort seats are an odd option; if they were specced from new it's a bit odd that the first owner didn't choose proper climate control, but the rears look like the same perforated leather so perhaps they weren't just taken from another car.

Those wheels looked kerbed to death and definitely need a refurb. If the seller can't 'find' that then I wonder what else they've overlooked.

Ross: everything's already been said - you have my best wishes.

Phoned up to view this lunch time and the guy said "It's in the paint shop" then when I told him I'd seen it at £4,689 on ebay instead of the £4,889 on PH/AT (i forget which) he said "Oh I need to take that advert down - it's a completely different car now"

Will steer well clear!

So he's taken it to a 'Pay N Spray' (for all you ex-GTAers).
