Indeed, one of the reasons I often quite like having the 745i debadged. I reckon people assume it's a diesel.
I'm quite the opposite. I like having the badge so people look and go oooh, he's got the big dog. He must be awesome.

We don't talk about the M5.

I really like that. It would have to be extremely tidy for £4,000 though. No idea on the plate value but at least that's not compulsory (unless the vendor won't split of course)

what's all that crap under the bonnet?
That's a good thing in my experience/opinion. A clean engine bay signals either an enthusiastic, caring owner or an someone with something to hide.

If there is no rot then that's great.

I meant the spaff at the front, actually on the underside of the bonnet.

Ah, probably just grease from the bonnet catch.

But there isn't a bonnet catch there? smile.

It is almost certainly coolant staining. Right above the rad too.

Is 2K the sort of money 'average' spec E34s are commanding these days? Last time I looked at them that was a £700/£800 car.

Good spot.
Pick that up for 2.5, have a grand contingency, and you have a cracker for peanuts.

If the wings are sound it looks great.

We really will look back on these and be staggered they were so cheap.

The vendor claims it's rust-free.

I rather like it on 15-holes too. Mine is on 8s, but the spare is a 15. Not yet got round to checking to see whether it or the bolts would fit if I ever had to use it.

Even the 15" wheels have variation in their offset depending on when they were produced and what model they were designated for, thus not all 15" bolts are the same.

I think the offset is stated on the inside of the wheel, possibly starting with 'ET'.

There is a guide somewhere to matching the correct bolts with the correct wheel hub/hole offset (i.e. The distance from the wheel clearance holes to the car hub). I will see if I can dig it out.

Oops meant 15/8 hole wheels. I.e if you pick up another 15/8 hole wheel for a spare the offset will need to be checked and matched.

Matt.

Another one. Local to me. Low level trader, by the looks of things. Lovely colours. Small engine, zero spec, still looks nice. Presumably 2.5 bags would secure.

I've always rather liked the S60.

That one seems like good value, but is it from the troublesome auto gearbox era?
