£10k for a 260E saloon? Behave.

I'm sure I saw this very car advertised about 2 weeks ago for either £3995 or £4995. What makes the seller think it'll suddenly shift at £10k??

Dodgy link, JM, but I'm intrigued, so get it fixed!

How much it is to get a W124 re-winged by a proper bodyshop? Can't be *that* much.
Genuine Mercedes wings are around £200 plus taxes.

I imagine you're looking at around £200 each side to remove, replace and paint. With VAT you must be heading towards £1,000.

Mine will be getting a new OSF wing in the near future. I'm taking it to Italy next year hopefully.

I'm thinking about buying a 190 for some reason, something like this: http://www.carandclassic.co.uk/car/C552457

For use alongside the 300E and to make it feel a bit faster and well equipped in comparison!

That would look great next to your 300E, but I'd have to have the 6 pot. A 2.6 auto 190e would be a lovely thing indeed

Any views on this one - or the vendor?

Phew. No way is that £10k! Dent in the bonnet for starters. And a scuff on the black plastic bump strip at the front. Can't say I recognise it, however.

Funny, there seems to be loads of 260s on the market right now. Many of them seem just as good as this blue one but one fifth the price.

Plus the other two we've seen lately.

I sort of want the 4 cylinder for claimed economy and as a parsimonious contrast to the 6 cylinder 300... same thing with no AC and self wind windows. A simple car.

Ah, that dark green on is the one I posted the link to earlier, and below. Been on sale a few weeks. Really like the interior, beige cloth and zebrano.

A few cars at that place have caught my eye. I've never had any contact but something strikes me as OK. Hard not to like the green 260E. The colours are scrumptious. Looks to me like it's had new wings. The paint match is good but the panels under the headlamps are all chipped up and don't sit quite right.

Seen that one before. Nice colour and unusual colour tex interior - with optional front armrest, but carb - no thanks. Would definitely want an 'E'

Have we had this E32 750i?

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/BMW-7-series-750i-E32-/2...

I'm tempted.

ETA: It looks like it needs a bit of work, but chances of owning a E32 seem to be getting few and far between, let alone a V12!

Almost worth it just to have a 750 badge on your driveway!

Shouldn't it say AMG on the engine pic?

I'd expect a bit of a chunk off but I'm quite tempted by this myself.

Does seem to have AMG on the dials.
