Talking about French, these are stunning.
Indeed they are, though on that particular example I would be rather concerned that "FULL SERVICE HISTORY UP TO 76,378 MILES" means "NOT SERVICED FOR THE LAST 24000 MILES"

Two excellent posts. There cannot be many LS400s with such low mileage left given how capable they are.

I love the shape of these D2 A8s. I criticised mine for being boring to drive, but they are so capable (and they look great). This one would need the dodgy parking sensors taking out. http://www.autotrader.co.uk/classified/advert/2014...

I remember a drive in dismal weather from Wales to Scotland - the car was remarkably capable.

Yes, my A8 felt a lot faster than my Jaguar despite there only being 20bhp in it a d not a great deal of difference in the weight. The Jaguar is a more playful, delicate handler but the Audi just thundered on regardless of conditions and was easier to really shift in, as far as big cars go.

Also, I got your email, I'm in.

That's a car for life. Set the cruise to 60, settle back and whack the stereo up. Great way to travel.

One of the few cars where I would be quite having the diesel option over the petrol.
Is it me or are these not getting cheaper any more?

I really want one, mainly to upset and later to convert Speckled Jimelia, but I want one for £3k and they don't seem to be getting any closer.

They don't seem to be settling to XM levels of worthlessness - I suspect that they were made in far fewer numbers, and as they look so good the depreciation curve has slowed to the top end of the thread.

If I could find a high mileage example with a petrol engine for £2.5k I'd be in - the design of the back screen is worth it for a start!

Hardly any petrol versions were sold, almost the same performance as the diesel IIRC. How many left suggests 30+ petrol engines versus over 600 in diesel flavours.

I love what these cars represent, and plan to own one at some stage, but I just can't quite feel the love of the interiors that I get for the quirkier MBs of the time. Too much hearing-aid and OAP in the colour palette.

Great cars, really individual, and lovely to see something different on the thread, but why on Earth would it be a repo? It doesn't take much to put me off, and that's done it.

Because it was bought from a car supermarket on a crappy sub prime finance deal I'd imagine.

I could tell you a heart-rending story about a lovely man called Jean-Claude-Pierre and his failed restaurant in Salford. His lonely quest to bring haute cuisine to the banks of the Irwell closed with a whimper nobody heard, resulting in the repossession of both his treasured C6 and his collection of garlic and garlic-related apparatus.

But I'd be guessing.

Please don't think me a pseud if I describe the Lexus colour palette as 'dump'.

Silver or grey over black is by far the best on offer (which is a sad state of affairs in itself) but these are relatively rare in comparison to lavender over mag&mustard or peppermint over more peppermint. Mental.

It's naughty of me to post this because it's out of budget, but this is interesting, and having been reduced (to 7k) it's a pre-Christmas sale bargain. Possibly.

That 760Li is unbelievably cheap! yikes

Edit. On my phone but think I spy major paint damage on OSF bumper corner and NSR wheel arch adjacent the open door, which may extend to the door itself by the looks.

Only part service history too.
