Did it get through that archway unscathed?A few years ago I stopped at the Stansted services with a friend, it must have been when they were still quite new, and didn't Bono have one, but there was one parked up nose in straddling two parking bays. My friend was more concerned about it hogging two places I just walked around it a couple of times.
I'm not sure I liked the matt wheels on this one, loved the wooden steering wheel though: http://forum.bodybuilding.com/showthread.php?t=156...

Voted by GQ magazine as the coolest car on the planet
And yes Bono still has one

Nothing a good warranty won't cover. (Mine has one until the end of November, BTW)
Which warranty co did you go with if you don't mind me asking? Garlick said:
Blib, a long shot but did I see you yesterday in Putney?
I was in the TVR and a QP passed me near to Nick Clegg's house, chap driving looked like he knew me but I wasn't really paying attention until too late.
I'm currently on holiday in Suffolk, Garlick. But, do you honestly think that I'd actually acknowledge you in public?I was in the TVR and a QP passed me near to Nick Clegg's house, chap driving looked like he knew me but I wasn't really paying attention until too late.
Like, with people around who could see us together?
It wasn't me.

Blib 2 Maseratis in a row, a third imminently and yet you holiday in Suffolk.
Even though you're among fellow car lovers here- you really do need to spend less on the cars and more on the holidays!

Suffolk is so beautiful and peaceful, BSR. All I can hear are the birds singing in the trees. There's some terrific roads west of the A12.

Does it also have exceptionally small buildings, or is the QP really almost as big as a house?I absolutely love these, i agree that you can only really appreciate them by seeing them in the flesh and spending time in/around them, incredibly special cars
what's the issue with the Cam caps? not heard of this but being as the QP uses essentially the same engine as my GS i can imagine it's something i'll inevitably be affected by at some point

No, you are correct, BSR. I did have a 4200CC I sold it at the end of 2012 and bought my QP. I'm now selling the QP and looking to buy either a Maserati GS or a Porsche 964 or 993.
Hmmm, when I get back from Le Mans MotoGP in May I might be up for selling mine.Circumstances have changed in the last year and now 4 useable seats aren't needed but a bigger boot would be nice. I'm thinking DB9, V8V, but for some bizarre reason I also have this wierd urge for a Bristol or a W12 Phaeton.
I must be getting old
I've been driving a 3200 GT from 2000 and I've been generally enjoying it when it's not being repaired for bits and bobs. The electrics are a bit shot so there's no aircon/ heating, the passenger door is a bit iffy to open after I got sideswipped by a fire engine (not my fault!). Exterior looks great, better than the interior with wavy loose leather on the dashboard and the centre of the steering wheel, plus that passenger side sunscreen keeps falling down. Recently the CEL came on, my mechanic says that there's a hole in the exhaust or something similar. So I've been eyeing a 2004 QP with the duoselect - the test drive was fine, it just lacked that raw oomph of the 3200 GT, plus it looks more 'family' compared to the lines of the GT along with its boomerang headlights. Having four doors is an advantage certainly. I'm just wondering even with the GT problems, will I regret trading it in for the QP?
I've not owned a 32. But, I did have a 42. Switching from that to a QP made an enormous difference. The QP is too big to be a proper driver's car, IMO. The engine's just not powerful enough. Having said that, there's little better at long distance cruising. Certainly nothing I've driven. But, in the end, driving the car in London became a chore. I don't miss it. I do miss the 4200.
I still miss my 3200GT but I'm beginning to like the QP more. My favourite bit so far is the ignition roar. I've started to use the Duoselect in manual these past couple of days and it's quite fun, much easier than expected. The last time I drove a manual was 15 years ago. It's too easy go over the speed limit when you zip through the gears. In most urban situations, I can't really go above 4th gear as I'm sitting at about 2.5K revs. Is this okay, or should I really be trying to get into a higher gear?
