Would it be possible to look at the overspray patterns on the inside of the bumper to see if it was factory painted or done and fitted at a later time?

Poor guy, modern cars are simply too overcomplicated.
Even after all this time, I still lust after a 964 and 993 911s.
Porsche really f*** up that car in an unbelievable way. How does a car like that leaves the manufacturer - no quality control at all.

Epic fail by Porsche.

It sounds as if they don't quite understand that the car is theirs. I'd stop talking to a monkey and get put through to an organ grinder.
Well, yes, quite! This needs to be emphasised, as it's got lost a few times in the inevitable white noise in this thread.

OP, I'd be handing the keys in to the finance company (but keep your direct debit in place) personally - THE FINANCE COMPANY OWN THE CAR AT THIS TIME, it just happens that your name & address are on the paperwork and the V5C!wink

Ring them and arrange to give them the keys (and keep escalating the call to higher levels of management if you're not happy with the replies you're getting from the people you speak to, until you manage to speak to someone high up who will agree to what you're asserting [which is that you will be handing them the keys and walking away]) ASAP.

Let the finance people sort this out; they own the car... smile

Not sure "heres your car back, theres faults with it" will hold much sway with a finance company?

I'm not sure that would do anything other than trigger a default on the loan, the finance company would then flog the car at auction for whatever they can get and bill the O/P for the difference?

I have returned the car to the Dealer more then 2 weeks ago with all the keys and a letter explaining the reason of return.

The finance company declined any responsibility. 3 times I requested to speak with some one senior and I've been told that they will call me in 48 hours but in the end no one called me. My phone bill is over 80 pounds alone due to the time spent on the phone with the Finance Company alone. This is not science fiction smile - this is my realitysmile

So what is happening with citroen & the dealer? You said you had good news on the previous page. I don't think it is a good idea to keep on whinging all over facebook if they're going to give you the money back, it will only put their backs up.

What have citroen actually said and what do you actually want?

You'll get a new car.

Only problem will be the bumper will be in the right colour and the rest of the car will be a slightly darker shade...

No, they will just report the missed payments on the guys credit file, it will make no difference to his cause.

Hi

News time

I have received a settlement offer that me and my wife decided to accept it. "The terms of this settlement shall remain confidential" so please understand why I can't make this terms public. I want to say thanks to Citroen for making this settlement possible and although, sometimes I doubted it, they can be nice guys with a little push.

My deepest gratitude goes to ALL OF YOU, the members of this forum and others, for your continuous and amazing support. I have no doubt that without your help this wouldn't be possible so THANK YOU.

One more time a sincere:

THANK YOU

Cheers

The car went ages ago, I doubt if the OP would have it back.
