Fair do's.....

At least you're sorted out hopefully.

Bit like videoing a film and having the last 15 minute chopped off though, loads of drama and suspense and no big Who Dun It.

Glad you got a result you're happy with.

Of course you could update your garage in your profile at some point....... whistle

Well that was a bit anticlimactic, aren't all threads here supposed to end with frozen sausages?

It's funny though when you think about it. The gagging order whilst unsurprising seems to be a missed opportunity by Citroen.

If they have done something good enough for the OP, then one assumes they have either repaired it to his satisfaction and some sort of gesture, or replaced it or given all or some of his money back... You would think they would want to show what a great bit of customer service they have done not to mention answer all the stick they have had on their FB site by saying something along the lines of "we have rectified the issue by replacing car/refunding/fixing it whatever...

Oh well.

But if it really is a case of "they all do that sir", they won't want everyone else doing the same.

But from reading this thread I'm still of the opinion that Citroën after care is complete ste and I would be very wary of buying a new car from them. Not knowing how they resolved this one doesn't inspire confidence

Exactly, it seems they are mitigating the consequences to them of these quality issues, rather preventing the quality issues from happening in the first place.

Customer service and Clitroën in the same sentence? Does not compute!

They are a despicable company with absolutely no morals what so ever. Once they have taken your money they don't give a fk and it's only when you back them in to a corner and bring legal action against them that they unwillingly cough up!

Glad the OP got a settlement, sounds to me like it wasn't a refund of every penny like it should have been and legally of course, I hope it was, but I doubt it.

Will the OP ever buy another Citroen? I doubt it after the way they tagged him along. Had they done the right thing at the start they might have had a chance of some repeat business AND he probably wouldn't have started this thread. I doubt that will happen now as well as putting several other prospective customers off too.

After all is sorted. It could be showed in a video footage of how good a DS5 could be...
