Sorry guys, I can't comment. I would love to, but please understand that I can't.

Thank you guys
No you can't.

But what you can do is start a new thread on the new car you have, or you could post a what car thread.
Completely unrelated to this thread, of course. That way we know if we need to help you think of a new car to buy, or it gives you the opportunity to show off your new noble steed!

Customer service and Clitroën in the same sentence? Does not compute!

They are a despicable company with absolutely no morals what so ever. Once they have taken your money they don't give a fk and it's only when you back them in to a corner and bring legal action against them that they unwillingly cough up!

Glad the OP got a settlement, sounds to me like it wasn't a refund of every penny like it should have been and legally of course, I hope it was, but I doubt it.

Unfortunately you are correct.

No French bashing from me I've had very, very reliable cars from Peugeot and Citroen. In fact of all the cars I have had they had to be astonishingly at the top. Only other car I have had fault free was the Subaru.

But the dealers and sales are complete and utter tts. I'd rather poke both my eyes out than buy from them again.

Well done Brad, pleased you got a result.
Understand the confidentiality bit, but of course certain car information is "public" anyway. The DVLA site says the car is still taxed, perhaps I'll check that again soon!

Also, maybe a trade person on here has access to the HPi finance information and can find out if the financial owner changes - that's "public" if you pay a fee ,,,,

Not suggesting we divulge the confidence of course ... frown

He has said he can't say so why carry on. You really don't need to know that much.

Hi

News time

I have received a settlement offer that me and my wife decided to accept it. "The terms of this settlement shall remain confidential" so please understand why I can't make this terms public. I want to say thanks to Citroen for making this settlement possible and although, sometimes I doubted it, they can be nice guys with a little push.

My deepest gratitude goes to ALL OF YOU, the members of this forum and others, for your continuous and amazing support. I have no doubt that without your help this wouldn't be possible so THANK YOU.

One more time a sincere:

THANK YOU

Cheers
Congratulations and well done for sticking with it.

Its a shame some companies like this don't realise the impact the internet can have and sort things issues before things become an issue.

Proof that if you shout the loudest things get resolved. I must have a duff monitor as I can't see the paint issue.

This thread reminds me of that Astra Vxr one from a couple of years ago. Thin pain on the underside of the roof or something....

Anyway well done op for getting the result you wanted.

Really, how likely do you think it is that the car would be scrapped?

Don't worry too much as it took me 13 days to notice the paint issue on the bumper.
