I may be wrong, but I think the point Eggsbenedict is making is that there are many posters on PH that have strong views which are stated not as subjective opinions, but as objective facts, despite having no personal experience of the vehicle (e.g. Car X has no steering feel).

If he'd said that I'd agree. But his point was specifically about what car is listed in a person's garage. It's pretty naive to think people only know about the cars listed in their profile.
