Have you driven an S2000 confused

They're twitchy when sideways, and don't really have enough torque to kick themselves sideways on the throttle so you really have to commit to the slide. Which makes it even more tricky. Then you hit vtec and the dynamics change again.

Of all the RWD cars I've driven (and slid), the S2000 is probably the least happy.

As others have said, 350z if you want to slide, e46 M3 if you want to drift and track.
The Z is too heavy, and is fairly twitchy. Without traction control the back end will come out and it is fairly predictable.

RX8 supposed to be great but the reliability issues and driving dynamics would put me off.
350z weights about same as she equivelant m3s. Never heard Tiff N moan about those things - on a car they labelled as one of fifth gears favourite coupes. Your GOING to need to leave traction control on in average British conditions with a 300+bhp engined car unless your very confident and willing to risk hurting somebody.

What, no one mentions the MX5?

I'd vote for a 350Z, lazy beefy engine and solid reliability, not sure how all that weight would trasnfer onto the track, though.

CLK55 - bit softer than an M3 but quicker in the real world, rarer and sounds epic.....have driven both. Wait for a w209 variant - sometimes come up at that price.
