A Boxster but re-engineered & put together by Subaru, would be decluttered, simplified lightened, made to work and last.
I like that idea with an AWD system and DCCD with the option to push 70% of the power to the rear.

Has anyone ever built a light weight AWD two seat convertable? I cant think of any off the top of my head......

Two seater, propelled by a supercharged V8.
That will be an F Type or XK-R shirley

Too heavy though, with all those gizmos and safety features. Sadly, I'm not a fan of Jaguar.
Needs to be a proper sports car, not a grand cruiser. Yes, a lightweight car with plenty of power.

Probably the new mustang with the ecoboost lump for me. Retro elements, basic design but with some luxuries and opportunity to improve should the mood take you, also something a bit quirky

Impossible question because some people's preferences are directly contradictory to others'.
Exactly. It's not possible to build something that all of PH agrees on.

Oh yes, forgot about the murtaya. I have seen one on track at Castle Combe and the thing can shift and sounds great. I dont think they have DCCD but it would be a great car if Subaru picked it up and developed it as a modern day car.

Have you driven an F-Type?

It would be a convertible coupe estate, with a rwd fwd 4x4 chassis, powered by an normally aspirated turbo diesel petrol engine with a 3, 4, 5, 6, 8, 12 cylinder inline V engine, driving through an 8spd automatic manual gearbox. It will be fitted with ABS/DSC, but those systems will be de-activated because of the driving gods who can actually out perform them on PH......... ;-)
