Show us what you did with your bank holiday weekend...
Discussion
As the title states, lets seem some photos and lets keep it car/bike/etc. related please!
With the great weather over the bank holiday weekend, I took full advantage by cleaning the car on Saturday:
Went for a run down to Helensburgh for food and an ice cream on Sunday:
Today, hopefully I will be playing with my new toy of a machine polisher on a spare bonnet I have lying around:
I'll let you know how I get on, unless I bore a 4" 'speed hole' in my bonnet, in which case I will come back and delete the last part of this post!
What have you been up to then?

Didn't feel great on Saturday, and yesterday I felt compelled to clean my daily driver as it hadn't been washed since January and was completely and utterly minging. It looks fairly shiny in this photo after a quick polish, some sealant and a wax but in truth it needs a good machine polish again and a wheel refurbishment. New summer tyres are in the post too. I've gone for Michelin Pilot Super Sports after reading lots of good things about them. The winter tyres are getting noisy now that the roads are warming up.
Oh, and we did the easter egg hunt with our daughters too.

Decided to see if I could cure a sticking drum on my Westfield... and then discovered that my axle is missing a breather cap and that the wheel cylinders are leaking. So a 10 minute survey quickly turned into a £150 spending spree to get it all fixed
Thank god the weather is crap for the next week whilst I wait for the parts to be delivered...

Today: Rummaging around deep in the engine bay of my E39 M5...
...trying to remove the old timing chain tensioner (it's located at an awkward angle underneath and between the light coloured alloy casting & the A/C pipe): done....
..new one installed and properly torqued. (My banana-like fingers a complete hindrance when doing this job.)
Previous two days I've re-furbed the tatty Turbine-style alloys of my E39 530d.
From this:
....and after much sanding, wailing and gnashing of teeth, a goodly amount of Upol etch primer & high build beige primer later.....
Finally...
These rims are for my summer tyres which will be fitted to the car towards the end of the month.
(Not sure I can fully recommend re-furbing alloys to others. You can achieve a good finish but you need patience, time and wire wheel attachments for an angle grinder.)
