Oh give over Clarkson, you have a van with a bog in it that you paid 40 grand for, dont know how a 40 grand van is any
more interesting than an MPV.
I have driven a Caravelle and it wasn't a patch to drive on the Galaxy we have (and rarely use) and no more interesting.
It has no toilet.more interesting than an MPV.

We had out best holiday ever in it last year touring Europe for five weeks.
It's not meant to be fun to drive but at least it 4wd.
They cost £50k.
Ner ner.

Five weeks sharing a small space with the kids, would rather not, 2000 miles in a rental MPV was enough.

I'd start editing those threads pretty sharpish if I was you. It'll be a long night.
Very proud of that bike photo aren't you? Leaves a trail that a three year old could follow.
Thats a bit sad isnt it, are you really threatening to stalk someone on the internet?Very proud of that bike photo aren't you? Leaves a trail that a three year old could follow.

Depressing?
Probably a 1.8 Opel Zafira that I drove from Prague to Frankfurt. I was driving the car for probably 12 hours and it left me completely bored. The weather was dull, the car was dull and the roads were dull.
I have also completed roughly the same journey in a Hyundai something or other, but the sun shone and I was with a work colleague which made the journey more than bearable.

A post face lift C class oil burner, had the thing for eight months and couldn't wait to get rid of it, nothing wrong with the car (aside from seats that didn't have any support of any kind and frankly are too narrow) just greatly disliked it and really didn't like driving it (chopped it in for a 159ti, what's life without a bit of risk eh? ). Have to say it managed something which I never thought possible though, it surpassed my dislike for the diesel Clio I had oh so many years ago, horrible little POS as well.

Funnily enough OP, I was going to mention the Vauxhall Corsa. I really detest them. The default choice for those with zero interest in cars. Ubiquitous, dull as ditch water, crap to drive and with no redeeming features whatsoever. They have the gall to market it with "put the fun back into driving".
And the most uncomfortable seats of any car I've driven. Gave me back ache within my 17 mile commute.crosseyedlion said:
But this isn't a thread about how god-aweful the clio rs200 is, I'm just interested to know whether others have had cars that they hate or bring them down? Any surprises?
A Clio 182. Hated it from Day 3. Sold it in a matter of weeks - life's just way too short.Ford Mondeo 2.0 petrol - the dullest, most gutless car you could ever imagine. Tedious beyond measure, I loathed it.
And a Discovery 3 - I loved it, but it was constantly back at the dealer. I hated it because I kept waiting for it to break, and eventually flogged it because I just couldn't bear it any longer. Love Discos though, so I ended up buying a much older Disco 3 with 120k miles on which was way more reliable and barely lost any money in the three years I owned it.
Oh, and an insurance loaner Chrysler Voyager which I had for 4000 miles. It had so little to recommend it, and I used to try to avoid driving it as much as was humanly possible. A really st car - handling, braking, NVH.......all massively poor. And it struggled to do more than 25mpg.

It's quite simple; Yonex stops following me and insulting me, I lay off. He continues, I won't.
I'm not following you, I don'f give a stuff about you. However you seem to think you can threaten random people on the internet. http://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/profile.asp?h=0...
Be careful what you wish for.

I didn't get on with a Rover Coupe I purchased back in 2000. I kept it around 18 months and sold within the family for a 2.3k loss. But it was actually a decent car and it only got scrapped recently due to rust AND engine failure - Honda unit too
I came to it from a base Vauxhall Nova 1.0 but still preferred that car to the Rover.
On the face of it I should have been a lot happier with it. More power, more toys, better looks (debatable) and a T-bar roof but it's just the way it is sometimes I think - esp if it's costing you more.
I think it becomes depressing because you are paying for something that is not "perfect"

You might have hit the nail on the head there for me. I'm pretty sure my ownership experience is tainted by the fact this is the first car i've had on finance, when previously theyve all been cars for under £3k, bought outright with the depreciation done.
