Very curious; did you do it from the link or enter it into your email manually? Both work when tested here but I've got the techs looking into it for us.

If you want to email me directly via my profile for now please do.

Cheers,

Dan

Not that you nicked this idea from Evo magazine chaps... I presume Chris H is still on the subs list.

I've always said, were I to have spare cash, I'd buy all the 'brave pills required' cars and then document the fun and games for everyone else's enjoyment.

With that in mind

For me - the waftmobile

http://www.pistonheads.com/classifieds/used-cars/m...
Yes, that's a Quattroporte under £15K - yes, it's probably going to be ruinous - but LOOK AT IT, for less than a Fiesta ;0

For us - the dogs and the shopping

http://www.pistonheads.com/classifieds/used-cars/a...
A B7 RS4 - in Silver (which I normally dislike but that one looks mean) - I chose 'cheap' but it appears reasonably honest - it will, of course, hump my wallet

For the weekend sir?

http://www.pistonheads.com/classifieds/used-cars/t...
A Tuscan - in flippy paint of course - been in Evo - bound to be thrashed - but LOOK AT IT

and that lot comes (with a bit of haggling) to about £45K which leaves me £55K to make them actually work (enough? Possibly not...)

Hello again!

We've had a couple of submissions already which is great - thanks to those who've been so quick off the mark.

If you're keen on doing one I'd say bide your time because we want to make sure the ads are still live when we run them and we want to meter out the stories and settle it down to the point where we have one or so per week. So we're OK for the immediate period and if you've got one sketched out already just hang fire and update it with current ads before submitting.

Thanks for the ones we've already had though - a great response.

And as for the similar Evo feature, well, they vary the price point and theme (happens to be £100K this month, admittedly) and I'd like to think it works well in an online/PH sphere where the ads are only a click away for further scrutiny. And we can witter on in a bit more depth. Room for both without any toes being trodden on I hope.

Cheers,

Dan

Citroen DS21 Pallas, £19k - http://www.pistonheads.com/classifieds/used-cars/c...

Renault Clio V6, £12k - http://www.pistonheads.com/classifieds/used-cars/r...

Fiat Panda 4x4, £4.5k - http://www.pistonheads.com/classifieds/used-cars/f...

Isuzu Vehicross - £5k - http://www.pistonheads.com/classifieds/used-cars/i...

Ferrari F355, £48k - http://www.pistonheads.com/classifieds/used-cars/f...

Total: £88.5k

I actally wanted a DS23, the facelifted Clio V6 255 and a Renault Avantime, but they weren't in the classfieds, so I've left a bit extra to cover them. (And a Novitec exhaust for the 355.)

(Still concerned I spent too much on the 355. Might swap for an Alfa SZ or Giulia Sprint GT and a Delta Integrale.)

I'd like to pretend I'd have an E30 M3 or something else retro and cool, but I wouldn't.

£37,950 - face bender on the track.

£55,000- face bender on the road.

£6,990 - A lot for an 528 E39, but 18,000 miles. Pure waft.

I suspect I would be buying slightly older examples than most listed, but here is mine off the top of my head..

Audi RS6 Avant (a 5L v10 one): 25-30k? Lots of space and power to hammer the horizon!
Nissan GTR: 30-35k. Capable of bringing impressive stats to my pub arguments.
LWB 463 G Wagen with a 3L diesel engine or a Pinzgauer: 15-20k. For the off road bits.
The rest would be spent on a classic - TR4/5, Austin Healey, E-type for when a something more timeless is needed.

I'm going to try and do this without BMWs, as otherwise the list might seem a bit biased towards one marque. And if I left it until next year, the way things are going, it'd probably cost £150k

Porsche 924 CGT: £35k
Ferrari 348 TB: £30k
Audi RS2: £15k
Merc 190e 2.5-16v: £8k
Saab 900 T16s: £5k
Pug 309GTi 16S: £4k
Alfa 75 3L V6: £3k

Other option is a massive additional bank loan and finally get that 512BB wink
