Had my car about a month now a golf r32 dsg and in the last couple of weeks I have noticed a dual mass flywheel rattle from cold and it seems to be getting louder so I took it back to the place where I bought from and they really had no idea what was wrong they could here the rattle but said it drives ok and Its not stopping it from driving. They are now saying to me they are not going to fix it and offered me my money back, I don't really want a refund as I have payed out for a oil and filter service and bought a Intake and exhaust and the car is spot on apart from that, My fuel pump is quite loud but I heard this is normal??? Not really sure what to do as I don't want to be paying out my own pocket to fix this flywheel problem.

Personally I'd take the refund. After reading the other poster's thread on his Citroen with a dodgy bumper and iffy suspension it looks like dealers can be extremely difficult if they want to be...

Take the refund- view the money you've spent on parts/servicing as rental for the month you owned it.

^^^^^

That, can't you re-fit the old standard exhaust too?

Take the refund. Even if they agree to undertake further investigations into the rattle, the warranty company may decide that a failing DMF is wear and tear anyway so may not honour a repair.

Take the refund, immediately! I had a troublesome car that the dealer offered to either refund or keep trying to fix and I went with the latter. Turned out to be the worst daily driver experience I've ever had.
