Hi all

Long time lurker, rare poster...

I currently have a 335d (not mapped (I know!)), and whilst lovely I want something else which is less...err.. well diesesal. In my previous job I did a LOT of miles, now not so much and and such I'm after something a bit more fun. Additionally, I do a lot of cycling so whatever I buy needs to be big enough to take a bike (preferably with wheels on) without ruining the interior trim. I've had roof bars on the 335 and frankly my ears are still recovering.

All other usual things (MPG, insurance, parts costs, being desirable to the opposite sex) are irrelevant (if you've seen my face you'll know that having a pretty car is the least of my worries), so the only criteria is a) fast and b) can carry a bike. Oh, and it needs to cost anywhere south of £8k as I'll not be financing it up. So thats a c). I am rubbish at lists...

Any ideas? Pretty much anything considered, my searching of the classifieds includes anything from a Civic to a T5 transporter.

I did look at those, my only concern being the GTB's are getting on a bit and the new ones are...well...a bit dull?

A little over budget I know, but this is where my money would go. http://www.pistonheads.com/classifieds/used-cars/s...

You could spend a lot less and get a 2.5 XT which is still quick, but very dull looking.
