Superb. Feel sorry for anyone who has just taken delivery of a brand new 12C....
I asked Ian_C to explain why he thinks this. In the unlikely event of Ian_C replying I ask this.

I wonder just how many recent 12c buyers have been affected by the change to the 650S?
How many '63' registered 12c's are there in the UK?
I'd imagine that any 2014 12c orders were offered the choice by McLaren of converting to 650S.

So to answer your statement Ian, I doubt if there is a need to feel sorry for anybody, if it's possible to feel sorry for somebody in the position to buy a new McLaren.

Lovely, but the full drive vid is better.

Any idea why embedded vids wont go full screen anymore? Or is it just me. Yooootooobe works fine.

I don't get this either. Cars get updated/replaced all the time. It's like feeling sorry for Golf Mk6 owners after the Mk7 came out.

It's not about drifting per se, the point being shown is that despite being monsterously quick and powerful, the car is still controllable and cohesive up to and beyond the limit, which is handy 'incase' you end up in that situation on the road or track.
Does it need to be every corner, of every lap though? I totally get that there's a benefit to showing how the car reacts in a given situation, but given how little time owners are likely to spend trying to promote deliberate oversteer, by overdriving and being needlessly aggressive with their driving, seeing neat, fast laps would be just as useful.

Would have liked to have seen a couple of quick (drift free) laps.
this, it's all getting a bit dull.
The drift free laps or the harking on about it.....

Personally I'd like to see cars pushed to the limit without the throwing into the corners to entice the oversteer.

I'm not adverse to OS. I'm really not, but it is getting a wee bit boring now. That said, over steer because the car it on the very limit of what it can do (like the original 'Ring Yellow Bird video) is intoxicating....

well seeing as this is a short video clip of him drifting every corner for people who enjoy that kind of thing, yes it is every corner. if you want to watch a neat fast lap maybe go watch the actual full /drive video?
