Anything that reduces the number of white, grey and silver cars on the road as got to be a good thing.

I actually rather like brown. It's a nice warm, rich colour.

I do like me a nice chocolate brown leather interior but I'm much less convinced about brown paint. That said, the available colour palettes on many new 'premium' (German) cars is so dull and grey that brown might well be the best available option.

Looks good on older Mercedes cars, I'd say.

I like to think I started it again by using my turd brown Triumph everyday. What must have happened is one day I drove it by a designer-type who thought "mmm brown. That could work."

Sorry guys, all my fault!

Glad I read the responses after I read the title of the thread.

For a moment I thought we were back to politics again. It gave me quite a turn ....

I rather like the newer shades of met brown/bronze/gold that are begining to appear again, and as said, so much nicer than a sea of black/silver/grey/white that fills streets and car parks these days.

Definately a 1970's hue though, I remember when the Ford colour palette was as full of browns and golds as there is grey/silver today.

Ford's Arizona Gold, Copper Bronze Met. and Roman Bronze were ace colours biggrin

how about that 'cappucino' beige colour Fiat are doing now for the 500 and 500L?

do not want!
A beige 500-Lardy is a summation of everything in a car that says, 'please, you go first, I'm retired and a I dribble a bit when I'm under pressure'. If this is the future of car style then next year we'll see the big Mini re-branded the Maxi and available in that sandy yellow colour BL used to like.

Edit - mind you it hides the rust:

My most favorite car in the world, ever was my dads old brown mini.
It also had a lightning bolt airbrushed on the roof and no seat belts in the back.

Tempted to look up the reg but fairly sure (afraid!) it will be no more.

The brown colour option on the new range rover looks superb-very classy with cream interior.

Also saw it on a Mercedes E-class, looked very nice too.

I've just ordered one of these in this colour for September - The colour is called Titanium Flash and depending on the light, is either dark grey, or brown. Ordered with cream leather too.

Brown? No thanks, it's my least favourite colour for anything so I definitely wouldn't want to be driving around in it no matter what poncey name it was given.

No, not lovely! It looks a little......, brown.
911s should be 'sharp blue', like the one I had. This was my first car and the one I taught my wife to drive in 20 something years ago. She's doing a hand stand on the beach because she'd just learned how to control the nasty rear end tendency of 1980's 911s
That's a great picture..

The only good thing about brown is you can over it in mud and doesn't look to bad.

Agreed.

I saw a 63 plate FFRR earlier today & it looked lovely.

I'm not a fan. There is a 1 series that I see in the train station in a brown colour and it's awful...it makes an ugly car look even more ugly.

Saying that the whole white car thing has been done to death and silver, grey and black are really, really dull. Not many seem to be willing to opt for a brighter / more interesting colout.

Someone who likes it and doesn't follow the sheep mentality of ordering Silver because "it's better for resale value"
