Do not do this to me Keith... I have only just sold my Ghibli, talk of bargain basement biturbos will not end well for me!

Hey guys...this is my car!

You are right, i put it up for sale about a year ago as i really needed the money (just moved into a new house and doing a removation) just before i realised that the chassis on my TVR was rotten. Once i realised i was about to embark on a full rebuild on my wedge, i decided to keep her as i couldnt not have a toy to play with!

Anyhow, the TVR is now done and is due to be back from the bodyshop next week so i decided to put it back up for sale and look for another project... i'm a true car enthusiast and just love restoring and working on cars which are different.

The car is excellent, i am just very fussy. Mechanically its brilliant and totally reliable. Ive probably made it too cheap but i have seen a car which i fancy so dropped it.

This is a really good car...sorry to anyone who is trying to convince themselves these are nightmare cars, my experiance (after the resto i did) has been excellent and ive done thousands of faultless miles.

After seeing this thread yesterday i got back from work early, filled it with fuel and went for a 150 mile blast! Its a great car, i just cant help looking for new toys!
Genuinely, I absolutely love this and wouldn't mind coming to have a peek at it.

I looked at buying an early Ghibli a few years back. One of the selling points was that it had recently had a service that ran into the thousands. That wasn't really a selling point to me, more of a warning.
Good point , I have browsed a few granturismos and they seem to add as a badge of honour that it has just been serviced and always add ,at a cost of £7000- or some such figure hehe

After a few months on the road the car's still going, although the clutch fork is dying and needs replacing.

Not that a few things are sorted (wobbly steering wheel, tyres, etc) it's a much better drive, comfy torquey and starts on the button every time!

Worked on one of these - from memory leaking rear diffs are common and amusingly, to use the rear screen once results in the fuse box destroying itself - I never put this to the test as it wasn't my car! Engines are often leaky but generally pretty tough and simple to work with - the later 422 and 424 were vastly superior in build and quality
