RE: Spa weekend, PH style
Discussion
Reminds me of some of the RMA days we used to do at Spa and The Ring. They are expensive but nothing even comes close.
Nothing compares to having exclusive, FULL circuit use at The Ring with no restrictions. Top metal to masterbate over in the car park then see scream past you on the track (and give chase to!!) I did several at the Ring and Spa in both my Caterham and Exige - outclassed perhaps, but both easily held their own, especially the Caterham (if only it had a higher top speed for the Ring)
Best weekend was over F1 GP weekend. Two day exclusive use of the Ring, park up at the old pits and have permanently reserved seats for F1 practice/Quali/race, then tear back round the old circuit yourself. Post-race on the Sunday, all drivers current and former were invited to join us on the Nordscheiffe. Lasting memory is rear passengering in a Maybach '57 doing a sub-9min lap ....driven by Nikki Lauda.

And as the momentum gained through the downhill run into Eau Rouge tails off through Raidillon to an exit speed of around 110mph the Elise feels precariously slow along Kemmel.

Never ever the Elise came out of Radaillon (sic) at a speed of 110 mph. Maybe it could provided a pro driver was at the wheel. In the video exit speed is maximum 80 mph. Granny driving.
IMHO the organiser has to guarantee that no driver with a hangover drives on track. Otherwise it would be irresponsible.
