I am pretty sure I have a winner.

I had one of these years ago, they are nice, and I know have a following but this is taking the mick- £8,000 for a 12 year old Lupo GTI:

And old Ford seen as a 'classic' no Sierra is worth 50k Cosworth badge or not and no old Escort is worth 20-30k.

It's a mistake surely as none of their other cars seem stupidly over-priced? Perhaps it's "£795"?

Nope, those GTi's have a bizarre cult following and someone will pay that!
To put it in context, I payed less for my '06 Clio 197 with less miles laugh

The lupo GTI has a bit of a following, so I'd imagine it's correct, have seen others up for similar money elsewhere!

£13k. For a Volvo 240.

Though I have to admit, if had the money to spunk I'd be tempted. Slap a set of steelies on and you'd be laughing (all the way from the traffic lights to the blue lights).

Fair cop, didn't notice that. Looks quite upto date for 12 years old, but not £8k's worth

Is that garage with all the old delivery mileage MG Rovers still going? That was always worth a laugh!

That is the more extreme end of the spectrum but generally expect to pay £4-5k for a decent one - I paid that for a 2003 with 49k on it. People say it's ridiculous money but they sell quick even at that price, when I was looking I rang up about a few that had already been sold and you'll find that aside from cars at the extreme end like the one you linked, they don't hang around for long.

This is priced at £12450eek

It is essentially, exactly the same as

This

£750

Which is essentially the same as this...

£495

I find it hard to see how anyone would pay over 12k for what is over a 15yr old design of car, especially when you can get a facelift version, which is a completely new design of car, for a couple of grand less.

Knew they had a following but that is taking the piss!

You can get a decent low mileage Golf GTI with all the toys for the same money.

Christ those Audi A2's are disgusting...

How about this one for a good laugh, I pray to god they were off their face on acid while doing the advert: http://www.autotrader.co.uk/classified/advert/2013...

EDIT: Vauxhall's are obviously very keen, this one is definitely an up and coming Classic Car, given the price, amirite? http://www.autotrader.co.uk/classified/advert/2014...

6 or 7k for a fiat coupe 20V turbo. Granted it had a receipt for over 14k worth of mods including a forged engine block at 4k alone. But at the end of the day it's a bit old hat and all the others are about 1/6 the price.
