New car for £99 a month (ish) & No or Small Deposit Thread
Discussion
Did consider this instead of buying new or nearly new but managed to get a year old, top spec (all relative) C1 with 4k on for six grand, cheaper in the long run but I can see why these are so attractive, brand new car for what is not a lot of money each month.
Everything is nice and new so no new tyres, brakes, exhaust etc etc, no MOT to think about, under warranty so no nasty suprises, good fuel economy, no VED to worry about on these either, that is very cheap motoring.
I wonder how cheap that 2002, £800 Corsa or Similar really is in relation ?

Sorry, you said you "Brought" it, I dont normally comment but where did this quirk of the English language originate from, loads of people do it despite it being wrong, am genuinely interested. I can cope with all the other errors and probably make a few myself but the brought/bought thing drives me mad.
bought: to have purchased something. It is the past tense of the word buy.
They bought their car from a registered dealer
brought: to have carried or taken something/someone with you. It is the past tense of the word bring. She brought a friend with her to the conference.
not as frequent or as bad as the typical "should of" vs. "should have" "would of" "could of" "might of" etcbought: to have purchased something. It is the past tense of the word buy.

However I suspect the "brought" is simply a typo rather than language ignorance

I ponder the above question when considering what I'll do when my eldest son starts to drive. Then when you think about modern safety standards of new cars in the event of an accident it makes the newer car seem a more and more attractive option than an old shed. It really does mark you out as being a retard, or from Nottingham.

to put it into perspective (and I'm not wanting to start an argument, I'm just stating a point)... Do you think my £330 Corsa C shed will be any less safer than a brand new C1?
Anyway, back on topic. OP - The cheapest I can find was the C1 on lingscars. I'd link the website but I don't want to be responsible for you potentially having an epileptic seizure.

Looking at the advert it says that the contract is for 47 months and the contract mileage is 20,000.Is that 20,000 over 46 months? If it is that is only 5,000 a year. I do that in 4 months.

My mrs has a new fiesta zetec 3dr in white for £80 a month on 2 year pcp, but i work for ford so not a fair comparison to a normal retail punter. Her ka edge was £40 a month last year but we have just changed it in march.
£99 a month on ka studio (basic ) is easily available on a pcp
It may not be bullst. My Uncle who is also a Ford employee had a phone call from someone in the factory saying that his friend knew for 2 unregistered 3 door Eco Boost Fiesta's in red that were available on a 1+12 month 10k mile deal, £99/month.£99 a month on ka studio (basic ) is easily available on a pcp
He snapped it up, offered me the other one but it had gone by the time I got back to him. Hes just swapped it for a Focus Eco Boost, not sure what deal he had on that though.

I agree, when Ford Fleet can offer 30% rebate to even small/medium fleet purchasers on top of dealer discount, certain cars will have a virtually zero holding cost over 2 years.
