I bought a Halfords 7-drawer toolbox several years ago, and added the 3-drawer base unit a couple of years later. Now have so many tools I'm looking at getting the 3-drawer intermediate unit as well... Quality-wise it's excellent, and you can regularly pick them up in Halfords together at a discount, normally "Buy the base, get the top free" sort of thing.

I know it's not a toolbox, but Halfords have this Advanced Professional 120 Piece Socket Set for under £60 today:

Costco have some pretty good value roller-bearing tool chests. From the brief look I had they look pretty solid. For example:

Clas Ohlson do a very nicely made Cocraft roller cabinet and top box which together come to about £340. In terms of perceived quality it's as good as Snap On et al, although time will tell how tough it really is. Ten year warranty and the sheer weight of the thing suggests it'll be robust.

I've got the cabinet in my garage, and the top box will be my Xmas pressie!
