Neighbours take issue with a vehicle parked in the street (this vehicle is of no obstruction or trouble to anyone)

The vehicle has a sign put on it saying that as it weighs more than 1.5 tonne it has to be removed from the street - in breach of the lease agreement. This was enforced by the estate agency.

Neighbour then threatens to kick the st out of the owner and trash the vehicle should it appear opposite his house ever again.

I go and read my lease and discover it's vehicles over 2.25 tonne curb weight and that said vehicle is lighter than this, however the neighbour kicking off has vehicles that are heavier!

What to do?

Repot the error with their interpretation of the lease and have his vehicles removed?

Do nothing as it's not affecting me directly?

Post letters through each of the doors pretending to be from the other person, write in an aggressive manner.

Set up a webcam, buy popcorn, post the webcam link to us so we can watch the carnage.

Sounds like your neighbour is an arse and just doesn't want someone parking outside his house.

Davey, you are an evil genius!

OP - easy fix, can you park your car in the next street or off the road elsewhere? For the sake of a few more seconds walk you could save yourself a lot of grief and let the baby have his way.

I don't understand.

Who put the notice on the vehicle?

The 'estate agency'?

Does everyone in the street have a lease which is enforced by the agency?

Why has no-one dobbed in the aggressive guy who's vehicles are too heavy?

Why has the other guy not pointed out to the agency that his vehicle is within the weight limit?

And why has he not reported the threats to the police?

I'd move to an area with nicer neighbours and more room for parking.

The 'estate agency'? (Yes as they are the tenancy agents)

Does everyone in the street have a lease which is enforced by the agency?

(Renters enforced by estate agency, owners by Greenbelt agency)

Why has no-one dobbed in the aggressive guy who's vehicles are too heavy?

(It's only just kicked off in the last hour)

Why has the other guy not pointed out to the agency that his vehicle is within the weight limit?

(He was told 1.5 tonne by mistake)

And why has he not reported the threats to the police?

(Unsure what's going on at present)

Going to the agency in the morning as I don't want to have trouble with my vehicle getting trashed if people start to believe it's a 1.5 tonne limit.

Is your road made of pudding and feathers?

2.25T rules out a lot of 4x4's and is coming close to a lot of large saloons (BMW 5GT is just is 2.1T with a 2nd adult in it)
1.5T would rule out anything bigger than a medium hatchback.

Private road.

The renters are governed by their respective agents and the owners are governed by The Greenbelt Group.

2.25t curb weight is the limit and if that was enforced thoroughly it would cause a right problem lol. However some idiot is convinced it's 1.5t and that is a big issue if it's enforced by the idiots that believe it to be correct.
