RE: Porsche Cayman GTS: Review
Discussion
I can't work out what the "GTS" option pack gives for the 2k, as I understand it the car comes with a full leather/alcantara interior including the headlining in alcantara, when you tick the GTS pack option you lose the headlining and gain the carbon pack and deviating stitching that's it.
So you pay 2k for carbon + stitching but lose the alcantara headlining, if that's the case I wouldn't be ticking that box.
The interior pic on the article shows the standard GTS interior without the pack.

Having viewed his Cayman GTS video and believe him to be one of the better motoring journalists I'd love to hear his vies between the Cayman GTS and the post MY12 Evora NA
Now that would be an interesting read.
I think Steve Sutcliffe had just forgotten how much fun a manual gearbox can be.
He was one of the first journos to jump on the paddleshift bandwagon.
I see no reason why he wouldn't be equally delighted in a manual Cayman S.
Also he failed to mention how much a Cayman GTS costs in that spec, just the theoretical base price yet again.

Because the GTS is better than the S - lower, lighter, more powerful. Also, a car can be more than the sum of its stats - perhaps shedding a tiny bit of weight, lowering a little and adding just a touch more power makes the whole package sing. A bit like the difference between Jessica Biel in a bikini and Jessica Biel not quite in a bikini.
