I went a bit crazy to be honest:

Mineral Grey Touring with Saddle Brown Leather (incl. lower dash)
20" Alpina Classic Wheels
Alpina Designation on Front Spoiler lip
Gloss Black Interior Trim
LSD
Panoramic roof
Adaptive Lights (and High Beam Assist)
Harman/Kardon
Pro-Nav
HUD (and Speed Limit Speed Limit Display)
Front/Rear Sensors with Reversing Camera
Matt Aluminium Exterior Trim/Roof Rails
Alcantara Steering Wheel (+2mm) with Standard BWM Paddle Shift
Anthracite Headlining
Folding Mirrors
Lumbar Support
Tinted Glass
5 Year Service Package

I think thats about it!

.....and no x drive to ruin the handling. As someone else said as an Alpina lover myself I just havent got the money re no discounts no decent finance rates only 2 year warranty so takes the financial difference in real terms way over the 335d
Yeah, the BMW finance does appear to be very costly (I didnt go for it, I got a good deal from my bank). I was looking at a GLC43 as the alternative option, and actually got more discount on the Alpina (though in fairness to Mercedes, there may well have been a further haggle to be done)....but still nowhere near as much as is available on a standard 335d.

It is a big premium over a heavily discounted BMW 335d certainly, but the depreciation will almost certainly be less, and I think the ride/performance/exclusivity is worth the difference. It seemed to ride as comfortably as my RangeRover Sport (albeit 9 years old, but still on air suspension).

Superb!

I wanted Mineral and saddle brown! Saw that combination in Geneva last year and it's perfect for the car.

I ended up with red and a black interior, only stock car available and I don't do waiting very well.....

Enjoy the wait.

Thanks! It became my first choice after seeing this one: http://www.bramley.com/stock/details.asp?stockID=9...

Normally I wouldnt even think of having brown leather, but it just looks so good. I was tempted with Red leather also, but thought I may end up regretting it.

My father had a Alpina B10 V8 which he loved.

The only real issue was when he came to trade the car in to a BMW garage they offered a extremely low trade in price stating that it was not a proper BMW.

He tried a few other BMW dealers who either stated the same or were not interested.

Is this still the case or have the BMW UK branches finally accepted the Alpina name?

Anyway a specialist garage was interested and gave him £7,000 more than the best offer from BMW.

Unfortunately this put him off buying another which was a real shame.

I was the opposite, I had reservations at first but now I love the colour with no regrets.

My only observation with your spec (if you don't mind), is the black roof lining is usually complemented with the high black gloss window surrounds which also goes with black kidney grills (if you want them) like a M Sport; or have the standard roof lining with the window surrounding you've chosen ( like a SE).

ELUSIVEJIM, not sure how long ago that was, but Alpina's are imported from BMW (Sytner) only, who seem to have the majority of used cars available also. Residuals don't seem too bad nowadays, but that may be model specific. They are not proper BMWs for sure smile

Not at all, oddly the headlining was one of the options I spent far too long thinking about. I would have gone for the standard lighter colour but I thought that with Black/Gloss black interior, Brown Leather and light roof lining there may have been just too much going on! I was in two minds right up until I ordered it, as I don't generally like a dark interior....but as its got a sunroof I'm hoping it won't feel too gloomy inside with the anthracite.

For me, the Matt Aluminium Trim with the Mineral Grey was a must, Im not as keen on the high gloss show line. I pretty much used that ex-Bramley car as the basis for my order, although with anthracite silly

Enjoy it the dealers can be funny we take ours across the water because our local dealer is useless (the car went in for a service but the wrong oil went in, I realised this when I opened the boot & it was still in there frown ) so find a good dealer & then just enjoy the car the ride comfort is superb & don't let the OH drive it you'll never see it again. biggrin

Did you extend your warranty?

Im hardly spoilt for choice with dealers on the Isle of Wight to be honest! They shut the Landrover garage a year ago, so had to take the RangeRover overseas to get it serviced! I'll be sure to double check that they know what they are doing :thumb up:

I didnt realise extending the warranty was an option from the outset.....I guess I can just renew it at the end of the standard 2 years?

My other half can't wait to have a go!

Cheers for the information mate.

Yes this was around 1999-2000 is my memory is correct.

Yes Sytner were pretty much the biggest dealer even back then.

Thanks again smile
