My Clio RS197 has been sat at 33.5 over 1600 miles mixed driving including a bit of stop/ start every day.
The best I've seen is 35.2 mpg on a long run at 60 mph, I gave up trying after that!
I'll get a pic tomorrow.

My 1400kg Cayman S would get about that sitting at 60mph. Small cars aren't as fuel efficient as I would expect sometimes. Aero maybe?

Sounds right. 197s and 200s have thirsty engines.

New toy - Dodge Ram - no display.

9mpg on the first tank but that improved to a mighty 12mpg on a run.

Just done plymouth to Liverpool and back in my saab 9-5 aero estate with the other half driving as my leg is injured, averaged 37.8mpg on the computer, certainly wouldn't have been that high if I was driving! Had clear roads all the way as travelled at night and lots of 50mph average scameras :-(

After 9,802 mixed miles in a Clio 172. Actual works out at 32mpg.

Mpg resets itself every 10,000 miles.

My E39 530i just after it's last long run (450 mile round trip) Top readout over I think 7000 miles, bottom over that journey. Not bad for a 3 litre petrol. It did 500 miles to a tank that weekend!

It's not THAT far out, 18.8x55.6 is 1045 miles.

Spirited drive, was averaging 9mpg until got stuck in very slow traffic at the end, hence the 35mph average.

Virtually all of mine.

I hope you aren't assuming that we all have (or want) new / modern cars
