Spirited drive, was averaging 9mpg until got stuck in very slow traffic at the end, hence the 35mph average.

That really is rather remarkable fuel economy for that speed. Good effort.

This over 1000 miles... although it's US, so equates to 12mpg.

Average speed should have been a lot higher - we spent 10 minutes in grid-lock traffic coming into Paris!

The MPG is remarkable - I get 16mpg going 80mph in 6th in my RX-8 hehe

If I can find the photo, I will. A Range Rover Supercharged showing 88.2mpg. Admittedly I had just reset it and I was rolling downhill in traffic at about 15mph....

Decat's aren't good for MPG biggrin

Ok, I had one of those and this is a Range Rover, right? 4.0, 4.6 or Overfinch? I saw much better from my 4.6 HSE. Although in fairness it might have dipped to that towing heavy stuff in town.

1998 4.6, decats, K&N panel filter, Janspeed stainless system. In fairness to it, I didn't drive it to eek economy out of it, it sounded too good, and I also live in Northumberland so we're not short of hills and valleys, but we are a bit short of long flat motorways.

I never towed with it, and it used to return around 12-14 before the decats, I have to admit even I was suprised what they did to the economy lol. I suspect it was a mixture of slightly worse economy directly attributable to the decats, and a good bit of extra beans thanks to the noise it made, it made a lovely burble on overrun!

I think the best I ever saw out of it was before the exhaust and on a long motorway trip down south, I had it on cruise at about 56ish, sat in the inside lane and it did about 18-19mpg on the trip.

Lovely car, I'd have another in a flash, I did quite a bit of tinkering with mine, it was quite tidy.

My Clio RS197 has been sat at 33.5 over 1600 miles mixed driving including a bit of stop/ start every day.
The best I've seen is 35.2 mpg on a long run at 60 mph, I gave up trying after that!
I'll get a pic tomorrow.
Sounds right. 197s and 200s have thirsty engines.
Mine has sat between 27.3 & 28.0 for the past 3k miles.. oops
