I'm not saying checks should be done whenever a vehicle is used, but it isn't going to lose you too much time to conduct a quick check once a week..
If you only check once a week, chances are you won't check on the occasion when your tyres have been let down...

Far simpler - take a photo with date/time stamp ( or a few over a period of a few days),and e mail them to the company FAO transport manager. No response, resend, CC Licencing Authority. Simpler solution might be to take a date stamped photo or two and add a note to say that copies will be sent to transport manager and Licencing Authority if vehicle is seen parked on road.Put in plastic bag and tape to windscreen .
Again it's an old chestnut as http://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?t=740...

Website on the side of the sweeper: http://www.go-plant.co.uk/

So, it's likely to be a temporary thing. That's a bit more promising I suppose.

Go Plant are a rental company so it probably won't be there for long. I would ring them up with the reg number because they probably won't be too happy that the operator is leaving it on the road. Is there construction work nearby?

PS We designed the new one to be less ugly, but they last an unreasonably long time so you will have to put up with them for some time yet wink

If it was me I wouldn't be happy with it parked in front of my home.

I'd put a note on the windscreen. Stating "please don't park these vehicle here".
If he ignores the note begin the escalation/retaliation process.

The driver of the road sweeper ain't gonna like being told to park elsewhere, but I suspect he'll just suck it up and move on.
hehe

I think I know what's happened here. One of the neighbours, bit bored, got drunk and went on eBay 'Other Vehicles' and threw in a bid. Now he's got to park it away from his house so his wife doesnt find out what's happened. I think it's ace, I'd love a go in that.

when I used to be a mechanic, on the industrial site we worked, there were a few roadsweepers. (hasn't everyone got their own roadsweeping tale....)

much to our amusement, it actually had a w.c between the front two cab seats.
