Aswell as being disgusting, spitting at someone is also assault, I would have reported her to the Police if she had done that to me.

Horrible - I'll be honest; if she spat at me my snap reflex would have been to punch her in the face - I know it's not pc to hit a women under any circumstances but honestly that would have been too much. Disgusting.
