Personally I don't think you can blame the Police officer for that one, Who really needs to be responsible is the contractor who has not put up any sort of cordon or barricade to stop people entering the wet concrete area. I reckon the Vehicle insurance company have a legitimate claim there wink

Properly special multi story parking!
To be fair that space looks like it would be a bugger to get into with the pillar and the armco
Just reverse into it - but that might require some driving ability

Give her credit; she did it in one go, slowly reversing and constantly watching in her mirrors.

I wouldn't say that's bad parking. Messy, sure, but the area to the side of the car isn't a space, so I'd have done the same and parked over the line so that the car to the right would have some room to open their doors and keep my doors ding free.

Ok, so an Insignia is very long and this isn't a massive space, but even so this caused quite a lot of trouble:

(a) the car park was very small serving an A+E
(b) the car park is designed to count cars in and out, so if it detects it's full, it doesn't let any more people in. So it expects you to go and park in this space. And obviously you can't, so you have to wait for someone to leave, which could take 15 minutes. Which is pretty annoying given that there's free parking for up to 20 minutes and then £3 for any longer than 20 minutes.

Why is it a crap design? Both lines are parallel to each other, there aren't any obstructions and the space is very clear.

It is crap and can't be arsed parking.

Here we go, saturday afternoon, Sainsburys car park getting busy.

Most average cars need all the space they can get. The water gully at the back of this "Tank" is the dividing line between the bays, aint rocket science to work that out.

Some mothers do have them.

Evidently the parking warden thought so too - It was there at least 2 hours....

Classic case of "I don't give a fk", not even an attempt to park a bit closer to the wall on the right.

The space is actually tighter than it looks on the photo, yes you can squeeze a small car through, however less confident people will struggle and not even attempt to go through; many decided to reverse back. To the right of where I'm standing taking the shot, is the entrance to a car wash, however with the way that the entrance is angled you can only get into it with an approach from behind the Focus.

Cheaper to hire the car rather than the parking space!
