I think you're in the worng place - this the bad parking thread...
I'm sorry but that is bad parking, not tapping the wall in that situation is luck more than judgement.I'll observe that there's NO way I'd let my other half park there - if you know the car park, you'll know why.
Should have got a pic. Walking home from the station tonight in Halifax. Narrow road out towards the A629, if you get a car and a lorry passing both have to slow right down. Idiot in an A3 indicating right where there is no right turn, goes for a gap in oncoming traffic, bumps halfway up the curb and shoves hazards on, thus completely blocking oncoming traffic on one of the busiest roads in Halifax at 5pm. If it hadn't happened behind me I'd have had a word...

Handbrake failure or not been on properly?I'll introduce a 'Bad Car Park' segment.
Nottingham...Upper Parliament St.
A narrow entrance leads to very narrow down ramps, with super- tight turns.
On each corner, as you enter the next ramp, the walls are covered with gouges and various paint colours as vehicles have attempted to negotiate their way down, but have failed.
You drive down...down...and even further down until you can find a vacant space.
But it's a great location for the city centre.

Yeah I considered putting a note on the windscreen but decided to write in the dirt instead
I know how you feel though. About a month ago I came home after doing the shopping and found one of those Carbon Reduction type companies had dumped their truck in front of my drive whilst they went around the local roads touting for business I decided to park directly behind so their truck was nicely blocked in It made for a rather interesting conversation when one of the sales types eventually rang my door bell asking if I was interested in their services

Upper Parliament St. car park is ridiculous. You could probably get some long cars (LWB A8, S-Class etc) stuck in there, or be forced to scrape them down the wall to make it around some of the corners. As you mentioned, I've never seen a car park with so many paint marks and dents everywhere.Nottingham...Upper Parliament St.

Both my s-class lwb and Range Rover went round there fine. If you take the turns at walking pace or less you'll find there's loads of room.Didn't get a photo as I was carrying my toddler, but at Peak Rail in Rowsley yesterday someone thought they were more important than everyone else. Hundreds of cars parked correctly with cars at 90 degrees to the road, then one plep decided they didn't want to pull into a space so instead, just left their car parked over 3 or 4 spaces. As I walked past, various other people were looking and commenting. As we were waiting for the train, I saw the carpark getting busier, then someone in a Range Rover reversed into a space in front and someone pulled in behind, blocking in the moron parker. Well played the masses, hopefully the person who parked like a bell was stuck their for a while.

That sort of behavious yanks my chain. The dimwit probably thought they were being considerate by not parking it on the road, but is either too arrogant as a car user or lacks the mental capacity to think of other modes of transport people use, such as walking.Europa1 said:
