The van driver hasn't got out that side either, I doubt its possible.

A lot a van drivers like to be disagreeable for some reason.

I drive a van during the week & I wouldn't have park like that.

Note to Supermarkets and whoever else is in charge of parking lines, MAKE SPACES BIGGER.
Totally agree, our ASDA has just redone the car park making the spaces a tad wider, not that it makes any difference to the local tards around here.

Majority do manage it though, credit where credit is due.

The van driver has clearly squeezed his van into a space that isn't suitable at all. He couldn't get out his door without forcing his door against the Ford at the very best.

Why someone is choosing to argue against the obvious confused me.

The van isn't parallel in the bay and the Ford arrived first.

Unless the van is left hand drive the driver couldn't have got out of his door. Poor positioning from white van man.

oh for fks sake. Did you not read the original post?

- small car parked there first
- van parks next to them leaving no room to get in drivers door
- car park has many empty spots where van could have parked
- therefore van driver is knob
- simple.

now move on.

How about wife goes crying to hubby cause she cant park and says 'oh but theres loads of other spaces'

Now the funny thing is if one of you tts that keeps posting a pic of a 'badly parked car' (clearly bullied at school, all of you) had seen the S Max parked right over to the side of a bay you would have [posted a pic of it with a 'stupid bint can't park' tag on it !!!!!

Van parks between lines eek should have chosen another more suitable space tho' (of which there were plenty), and not been a prankster blocking the car in and sidling out the passenger door.

So... Mother crawls through car to get in because there's trolley shelter on the other side.
Ok, maybe I missed something (like the carpark suddenly emptying due to biblical exodus?) but why did the mother choose to park next to to the trolley cage?

Maybe there was no parent and child parking left?

Parking next to the trolley cage means you are 50% less likely to have someone slam their door into your car or drive into the side of it as you can only have one car parking next to you.

Why are people so eager to overanalyse this scene?

The guy has posted a picture with a reasonable explanation, yet some people are making a real issue out of it for no real reason.

So, just to clarify - you see nothing wrong in the Van's parking in a way that makes it impossible for the Ford driver to open her driver's door? Despite the fact that the Ford was there first and therefore the Van driver must have known exactly the effect this would have?

Also, I don't think anyone previous to you gave a stuff about the positioning of the Ford; resorting to name-calling and insults pretty much from the off doesn't exactly put you on the high ground when trying to make a point!

So what your saying is nobody unless they are in a smartcar should have parked next to the Ford????? Now I reckon if that was a chaved up stanced Saxo with miss spaced number plate you would all be laughing, in fact theres several posts in this thread saying 'Oh park so close he cant get in his door etc' just cause its a woman who cant park all of a sudden whats the difference?

The difference is that it's parked within the lines.

Has a woman really upset you, as you appear to be the only one that keeps raising this subject?

When you find your car in the same situation, please post a picture and comments on how well the van driver parked his van with all due consideration to the car driver. Now that will be an interesting read.
