What are the rules re parking payment and tickets in this situation ie why should I pay for parking when I want to leave but I'm prevented from doing so by knobish parking?
I'd have sat on his bonnet to load my boot if that had been behind me............and I'm not a lightweight hehehehehehe

Sainsburys, Coldhams Lane, Cambridge, Saturday evening at about 7pm. The time and day mean the car park is less than half full, but no, this f£$%tard decided parking spaces are for other people. I thought MSoSE (Massive Sense of Self Entitlement) was only an option on premium German marques, not some knackered sh*tbox.

This was parked in the road where I live this afternoon. The female driver pulled up, got her toddler out of the rear seat, then proceeded to wander off to visit her friend (house with the black CRV) whilst leaving the driver side door wide open for 3 hours laugh

Exactly, not defending the inconsiderate parking, but deliberately damaging others cars is unacceptable. Walking across would cause scratches, dents, ect.

Grotty swamp beast was just returning to the Kia as I went back to my CRV, no kids but clearly her lycra-clad bulges couldn't be bothered to park a few metres further from the door. Guess she was already exercised out and needed emergency cake.
